adobe4578 I must be younger than some of you, Goldeneye for N64 was some pretty popular stuff back in 1997. way before all the deathmatching of Halo and Half Life, but it was incredible for its time.

adobe4578 I dont Know, I tend to follow the National Book Award winners more often than the bookers. The Pulitzers are usually a good bet as well.

adobe4578 totally with you, I think that old films still have so much to teach todays filmmakers. the pioneers of silent films like Fritz Lang, Carl Dyser and D.W. Grifith are more amazing to me than todays big name diretors.

adobe4578 I think reading is really vital actually. The reasone maybe that so many dont read is because they missinterpret the activity. Or maybe they have been scared off by being forced to read in school, and have come to consider it work.

adobe4578 I think that they do reveal too much, or more so all the good stuff in order to attract our attention. And many times the actual film never lives up to the hype made by the trailer. Perfect example is The Black Dahlia.. perfect trailer, crummy film.

adobe4578 To be honest even as a small kid I have never enjoyed disney, I really dont know quite why. But the only exception comes with their recent Pixar films, Those have delivered every time. Toy Story is probably my favorite of all of disneys efforts.

adobe4578 I would make sure to stay an individual, and to not sell out to the factors of money. As far as personalities go I think that many of the most successful artists are tose who are constantly trying to reimage themselves and evolve.
