my friend is very shy

Shyness is in most cases just a lack of confidence, I used to be mega shy, I have never had a birthday party or anything like that simply because I would not have been able to handle the attention, but that all changed for me when I met someone special who boosted my confidence but showed me most people like he was. are also shy, he was an entertainer and one would never think this man on stage was shy, but as i got to know him I realized the on stage thing was an act to cover the shyness up...sometimes to start with one can play out a role of not being shy, sometimes that works...
