What are your plans for a summer holiday? With the gas being 7.00 a gallon I won't be going too far but I am booked in at a camp ground for a week. I'll be living in the motorhome and resting and visiting with the grandkids. My daughter and her family are booked at the same place on the same days. What's happening with you?

We don't go holidays as such pal and our petrol is now $1 :15p a litre but I still take Mum , Dad Hubby and Ross out for a drive , It still works out cheaper than a holiday or us all paying separately to go somewhere , I really love to drive xx

Yes I love to drive too. I remember when I got my first car. I only had it two days and my dad being an excellent machanic told me I would never need to use anti freaze in it. I asked him how that could be possible it didn't have an air cooled engine. He got that little grin on his face as he sometimes did and he said, "Well as long as the car is always running nothing will ever freeze up." HA HA Funny but it was true I was always in my car unless working or sleeping.

Our gas is high too, not as high as yours. I won't be going far neither. My mom and I want to visit my sister out of state and also go to some flea markets. That is if we can manage to come up with the money. The price of gas is going to keep lots of people home and close to home.

I guess the gas prices have absolutely everyone up in arms. It's awful and at the rate things are going the oil/gas industry will break the country for all of us. I hope you have a good summer. I know what being in hot climate and pregnant all summer is like, but just wait till you have that little girl in your arms my dear there is no greater love than the love we have for our babies. But of course having the boys you already know that.

Wow. Where do you live that gas is that high? Here in Ohio its anywhere from $3.82 to $3.99 a gallon.
Thank goodness we are between Michigan and Pa.
so if we go anywhere this summer at least with $4 a gallon we wont go too far, the farthest would be a 3 hour drive
so the most one tank of gas. Its better then being stuck in Cleveland with nothing to do during the summer.

We are going to local events. Day trips. We won't be going very far either. Gas is creeping up down here, too.

Yes summer vacations are here and we have already had a break. We moved to a hill station not quite near our place. Had a six hours drive by car but the place was worth it with all its natural beauty and water falls. Places for children to enjoy and some rock climbing. We had a merry time and are now back very fresh to be back to work.

Oh gosh! I thought the gas prices were bad here. I had no idea they were that high in Canada. I don't have any plans but like you I won't be going too far. My husband often grills on the 4th of July. It doesn't look like we are going to get to go on a vacation this year either.

I know what you mean about the high gas prices. Ours aren't quite as high as your's, but they are high enough that we really can't afford to go very far. Anyway, we have an annual music festival just a few miles from home that my boys and I do some volunteer work at every year. The festival lasts the entire weekend and we camp at the campground there for the weekend during the festival.

My husband is on vacation this week. It has been kind of boring for two reasons. Our friend from Virgina was supposed to come down and visit but her house burned down. She had planned to take us around cause she wanted to see the sights. She has a good paying job and she loves to spend money cause she has no family. So now we are sitting home with nothing to do cause it is too expensive to do much.
