What is the secret of a good discussion topic?

Though very few might give out their secrets here I really really want to know the secret of a good discussions.How do people have their discussions on the today's hot topic list.My discussions hardly get 1 response at the maximum around 10-11 responses.This is really disheartening :(

this is only my opinion but not a trick really.
post your real interest. bug out your questions in life, may be weird or for real.
post out what happen to your day, or hows been going with your family.
the real post begins in you. on reflections from your everyday living.

i think good discussions made by good thoughts.
i always responding peoples as well as possible,
don't worry keep posting, if your discussions are good you will definitely find a good result. keep it up.. think about some extra ordinary topics, current affairs, and so on..
