I sure do. I never used to like it but I found an organic brand that is quite pleasant. I love that it makes me feel refreshed and clear. Green tea has so many health benefits. Here is some info that I found about green tea that suprised me. I knew it was good for warding off cancer but I didn't know that it could possibly fight skin cancer too! This info is from
http://www.propeller.com/viewstory/2008/01/13/what-are-the-health-benefits-of-green-tea/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.weight-loss-lab.com%2Fgreen-tea.html&frame=true
Weight Loss.
Green tea has thermogenic properties (a thermogenic increases the metabolism of the body’s fat), and promotes fat oxidation beyond that explained by its caffeine content. In a recent study of 60 obese subjects, it was concluded that green tea could reduce body weight by increasing energy expenditure and fat oxidation. In another study involving obese subjects, it was found that continuous ingestion of a green tea extract led to a reduction in body fat and LDL cholesterol. The three ingredients in green tea that promote fat loss are catechins, caffeine and theanine that work by inhibiting the enzymes that digest triglycerides, which play an important role in metabolism as energy sources and transporters of dietary fat.
Diabetes.
Consumption of green tea has been associated with a reduced risk for type 2 diabetes, and people who drink green tea regularly are less likely to develop diabetes. The results of a study published in the August 2004 issue of BMC Pharmacology, stated that green tea promoted glucose metabolism in the healthy human participants, providing evidence that green tea has an anti-diabetic effect.
Cancer.
EGCG is the catechin polyphenol in green tea that is thought to be responsible for it’s anti-cancer properties. EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, with the ability to kill cancer cells without harming healthy tissue. EGCG accomplishes this by inhibiting the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR), which cancer cells need to be able to grow, and which happens to be a target of anti-cancer drugs such as Methotrexate. However evidence to date has been obtained only from preliminary trials, and further studies are needed to determine the ability of EGCG as an anticancer agent.
Skin.
It has been suggested that a polyphenolic fraction from green tea may prevent UV radiation-induced skin cancer. There is however insufficient scientific research to back this theory up, and further studies are needed. In a double blind trial of green tea extracts in its role to treat aging skin, participants treated with a combination regimen of topical and oral green tea showed improvement in elastic tissue content.
Tooth Decay.
Several studies have demonstrated the anti-bacterial properties of green tea polyphenols are an effective agent against tooth decay.
Arthritis.
In vitro studies concluded that green tea consumption might benefit arthritis sufferers by reducing inflammation and slowing cartilage breakdown. Further studies are required to confirm in vitro results.
So do you think green tea is a wonder drink? Do you drink it? Would you try it now that you've read all about its health benefits?

I LOVE green tea. I try to drink it hot every day. If not, I will drink it cold. I like the taste. I was also aware of the health benefits. That's the main reason I drink it 9and many othr types of teas, red and black as well. It DOES help with the weight loss. In fact, I am back on my health kick again. Green tea is a big part of my diet. What is the organic brand you have found? I will look for it in my health food store.

I enjoy drinking tea, and green tea is a popular choice. I find the taste lighter and milder in comparison with the other teas. Furthermore, as your posted article explained, it has plenty of health benefits.
My current favorite green tea flavor is the one by Stash called Jasmine Blossoms Green Tea. It smells so heavenly and so light on your taste buds. My other favorite standyby is with honey and lemon.

I like green tea. It's one of the few teas I drink regularly. My favorite kind is the cold, unsweetend bottled ones they have in japanese vending machines. It's very good and refreshing, and it's not bitter in a bad way like the cheaper kinds you can find in america. xD

I love green tea. There is one certain brand that I used to drink all the time, I think it was called Le Nature's or something like that, anyway, I can't find it anymore and I really miss it. Now, I either make my own or drink Arizona Green Tea with Honey and Ginseng. It's really good stuff! The benefits are fantastic, but I drink it for the taste. Of course, I drink coffee because I like the taste, too. LOL!

I like to drink green tea. It is really healthy and it is good to consume it after you eat oily foods. This hot green tea will cleanse the fats on the food and will let the body to absorb only proteins but not fats as it has disappeared. At first it tastes funny but you'll get used to it after regularly consume it. Thanks for sharing about the benefits of green tea, it was certainly a great read.

I never knew it had to be brewed for five minutes so that it's effectiveness is increased. I know about it being good for weight loss, but never knew it was good at preventing cancer and type two diabetes. I think next time I will buy more green tea and not read the label when they suggest you brew it for two to three minutes. I will brew it for the whole five minutes to get all the benefits. I need to lose more weight.

Ever since my first taste of Green Tea 3yrs. ago, I've been hooked on it. I love it hot or iced with lemon and honey. Whenever I can afford it, though, I will buy the Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey. I just bought a case at Aldi's for 69 cents a can.

We drink a lot of green tea. I was brewing it hot, but now that summer is here am making big pitchers to put in the fridge. Someone was telling me that if I add milk to the tea, it's not as beneficial. I don't know. Anyway, it's an economical drink that certainly is better for us to drink than soda pop. I have seen so much stuff out there on the benefits of green tea, I am just going with it and assuming it's doing the good they say.

I used to drink green tea all the time and stopped for some reason. It is really bitter to me and I really have a sweet tooth so I do add some sugar to it until it is sweet. I like to drink 2 cups at a time of it hot. Also, I like to make it into an iced tea. They have varieties now that are orange flavored and mint flavored and I have tried them and like them as well. I know they are good for you and I should get back into drinking them as I need to lose a bit of weight and I am sure it would help alot. Does anyone know if the health benefits are less if the tea is made into iced tea? I wouldn't see why there would be. Anyways thanks for making me think about drinking green tea again - it really does have so many helpful health benefits and is a fairly easy way to get it into your system. Thanks again!

I love Green Tea and I drink it. I especially like it iced. I'm not a big fan of regular iced tea but I like iced tea because it's refreshing, if that makes any sense. So I drink the Green Tea. I don't think it's a wonder drink. I haven't noticed any benefits from it.

Yes - green tea definately has tons of benefits! I heard a report once on Japan who said they are the highest consumers of green tea - and they also have the highest rate of smokers - but they have the lowest cancer rate. They had attributed this to green tea consumption. I do like green tea - I need to drink more. I love green tea ice cream - it's amazingly good! I've heard also that you cannot drink green tea during pregnancy or while nursing because it can cause developmental problems in babies - I'm currently nursing so I can't consume it right now. But once I'm finished I will definately start drinking it again!
