has anyone ever beaten super mario brothers

after thinking very hard and strenupously for many hours, i realized that i dont know a single person that has ever beaten super mario brothers. many people i know have come close to beating it but ended up giving up on it due to boredom. its a seriously addicting game even in this day and age but still why dont i know many people that have neaten it? there has to be someone out there that has?

I haven't yet! I just made a post about not beating it when I found yours. I've beaten super mario brothers 2, 3, super mario world, a bunch of the smb hand helds and SILL haven't beaten the first one yet. My head hangs in shame ;_;
It's also the same with the Castlevania series, I've beaten all of them except the first one.

by the sound of it, it looks like you guys are talking about super mario bros 3. yeah ive beaten it before in less then 30 minutes. the warps really speed up the process, but playing the entire game can also be fun. What was said about bowsers castle is true.. it's unbelieveably annoying in there but you'll get through eventually.

I'd understand if it was Super Mario Bros 2 (Japanese version), but Super Mario 1? Beaten it. Oh yes, I did beat Super Mario 2 Jpn too. If you really want help, try looking for Super Mario All Stars or get Nintendo Wii and get Super Mario Bros on virtual console. You get save states and that could help the gaming.
