Have you ever had an ant crawl across your arm?

Just now, while I was typing, an ant crawled across my arm. It's summer time here, so we're getting ant invasions. They're everywhere, from kitchen to bathroom. I can't imagine what the ants are eating. I'm always cleaning. But, I do have cats, and they're messy eaters. So maybe they're coming into the house after the stray kibble. I just hope that I can get rid of the ants, before they start taking bites out of us.
Anyway, back to the ant on the arm. I was sitting there, minding my own business and this busy body ant decided to sojourn across my arm! The nerve! Have you ever looked down and found a strange insect (ant, bug, praying mantis, cricket, etc.) on your arm or lap?
Did it scare you? Did you scream? Did you swat it away?

Usually I'm finding on myselfs spiders. I'm tossing them off me quickly but I don't scream, couse I'm not afraid of them anymore I think. When I was little I hated spiders but now I don't care if they are anywhere near me until they walk on me.

I woke up to a bit from a white widow spider one day more than ten years ago! I found out that those spiders have a long-lasting effect!

yea, once in awhile in summer (usually when it rains a lot) we get what i call BMF ants (can't write it out ) but they're the really large all black tree ants. i had once crawl in from a hole in the screen and startle me in the bathroom.i just opened the window and pinged it out.
now if it were one of those disgusting multi leggy silverfish, yea then i'd scream

I can top that. How about an ants crawling up on your legs? Eeew! I still cringe whenever I remember that time I was sweeping the fallen leaves under a tree in our backyard and all of a sudden an army of ants came crawling up my feet and biting me too. It was horrible.
I really hate those bugs especially if they are crawling on your leftover food. You don't know where they trudge and they could be carrying some disgusting germs with them.

Yes! One time when I was still a child, I was sweeping the steps and felt this tickle! It was a water bug, we called them roaches! It was horrible! We do not have those bugs here, I think! We have ants too, and you know, tey clean everything for you! I do not know why we are bothered by them so much, as they clean everything until there is not one drop of sugar, carbs, glucose, or any trace of food left! I know it is creepy if they crawl on us, but the ones we have do not bite! I think the ant would be much more scared of us if they realize the mountain they are climbing just moved!

The other day I was sitting there in my bed at night with the window open but screens shut and my bright light on. I was playing on xbox live not paying attention to the world around me. I got done...a little bug fell on me..then another and a couple more... I look up to see a swarm of little bugs and mosquitos around the light. They must be burning them selves and falling.. It was rediculous. I like fogged my room with raid at 11:30 at night. My mom got out of her room and was like what the hell are you doing?

Hi There,
I would have to say this has happened to me many times. I used to do all the outdoor maintenance for a recreation department, so this happened every minute! It did not bother me then and it does not bother me now very much. Sometimes if I am lying in bed or something and that happens I may change my mind. I think that would bother me!
cheers,

I have had ants crawl on my skin before, but not for a while. They do not creep me out but they are really ticklish and they just irritate me after a bit.
Just lately I seem to be just getting little money spiders on me, I have never seen so many little spiders as we are getting just now. I think that it is because of the warm weather that we have been having.
I do not like them though and so get a bit upset when I find one on me, apparently I am supposed to let it cross my palm or something. Not a chance, I would have a coronary before it was halfway across.

I have never heard of those. I'm scared of spiders since I got bit by one when I was a little girl. It paralyzed my entire arm on the spot and it stayed that way for almost half an hour. I know, because I watched the clock and screamed for that long. It was so painful!

Yep, it's that time of year for sure.
Myself, I've been having them crawl on me several times a day when I go out to feed Christopher Robin. I usually sit right on the ground with him and there's no escaping the big black ants.
Some of them are coming into the house too, and they're driving me crazy. They're not the little ones that are after sugar; these guys are big enough that I expect that I will getup one morning and find they have up and hauled off the refrigerator.

Well being down here in south florida we have what they call "fire ants" and them lil things bite :(. My 2 year old was playing in my flower bed one day last summer and all the sudden he starts screaming and there were fire ants all over his hands. he must have gotten bit maybe 20 or 30 times. and the ant bites get little like pimple looking things and it looks like a bunch of pimples but it itches like crazy. his hand swelled up and his eyes swelled shut almost. then about a month and ahalf ago i was at the ball field and some crawled into my daughters car seat and bit her but she is still an infant so she didnt feel it but i seen them on her they must have bit her about 15 or 20 times but she didnt swell. Ive had some crawl on me but not bite but most of them down here bite.

Ants!! I've been seeing a lot of ants around here. The worst experience that I had with those insects was 3 weeks ago, I was attacked with ants. Literally attacked. My legs has this red marks when I woke up. It was so itchy and achy. I was so furious cos I haven't even closed my eyes for an hour and I woke up because my legs were so itchy.

Worse, I have had 2 incidents where, at the age of 7; I sat in a red army ant hill, I think that was the name, they are red and do they bit. OUCH,, anyway,
second time was about 20 years ago give or take, I spent a night at this motel, and woke up to ants in my bed, I was so glad they were baby black ants, but, I was so shocked. I had ants everywhere, they were coming in from outside and the line was up the wall and down the legs of the bed and then in the bed. I have had them on my pant legs, in my hair, I guess, ants and I like each other, I wish they did not, but they must, or I am just lucky I guess

Amusingly, I get plenty on ants on me. It's almost a daily occurance. I don't get scared of them. They're just ants. I find them on my hands most often. We have a bit of an ant problem at our house. We think they're actually living in the building. We've heard the experts say that ants come into a building for the moisture but stay for the food.
