Best Singer in the world today?

There's a singer I'm really into at the moment called Madeleine Peyroux. She's pretty special!

I can honestly say that I can't just pick on. There are far too many out there and far too many too choose from. That is quite hard to pick just one. There are so many different types of singers out there wheather it be country, hip hop, R&b etc. They are all good if you ask me. They are music singers for a reason. They are the best of the best and with how many there are out there I just can't choose one.

while i have been a rocker most of my life, i know a great voice when i hear one. i have 2 answers for each gender. Pat Benatar and Angeligue Kidjo for the ladies and Josh Groban and Benny Mardones for the guys. there are just too many reasons to mention.

But I can't say,because all the people here,came up with a name so I think I should also.In my view its Shreya Ghoshal who has the sweetest voice.Only sweet voice is the world today.But only sweet voice can't make a best singer.She has to do some english songs.Only then she will be recognized as the best.I am sure she has the talent to be the best.

Well,I don't really like solo singers, so I prefer band vocalist. I think Serj Tankian from SOAD is the best. He has unique voice.

I couldn't pick BEST. But the most distinctive ones are probably Anthony Kiedis (Sp?) from the red Hot Chili Peppers, David Draiman from Disturbed, Akon (Me: HUH? How'd he get here?-Lol-), Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, Serj Tankian from System of A Down, and Shaun Morgan from Seether. I could pick them out of anything. Fast.

Such a broad subject. Depends on the style of music you are talking about. But i would say my favorite is probably the singer for iwreastledabear once even though i can never find her name anywhere:( but she has amazing range and so many styles that it makes her one of the best alive
