father facing jail time for son`s second degree sun burn

I just read this on www.idahostatesman.com.A father is being charged with first degree criminal abuse after his ex wife picked up there 2 year old son at his house on sunday and the child had golf ball sized blisters on his back,face and chest.The mother took the child straight to the police,the police then arrested the father.The father said the child had been playing outside for a hour and half with out no sun screen.The police said the burns were so bad it was like the child had been immersed into scolding water the police also said the weather on sunday was 90 degrees.The mother then took the child to the hospital where he was treated for second degree burns and was later released.What a idiot!90 degrees and you let your 2 year old play in the sun with out no protection.that poor child must be in so much pain.
