3 Cooking Tips To Make Your Life Easier

Before my daughter was born, I was the worst cook on the planet. I couldn't even make a cold-cut sandwich and have it turn out right. Then I had to get into the kitchen and learn how to cook. Sometimes I follow a recipe, other times I make it up as I go along. Here are some of the cooking tips that I use daily to make my food taste the best. 1. Find foods that you like to eat. Make sure they're also easy to cook. Get a recipe. Follow that recipe exactly, with no variations. (Except adjust spices to include the ones you like). Cook them every week. After a couple years, you'll be really good at them. That's what I did. It sounds simplistic, but it's really the easiest way to learn to cook. You don't need guesswork for this one. After a while, you'll notice that you're taking liberties with the original recipe and trying out variations. And, that's when you know you've graduated! 2. Never turn your heat on the stove above medium. First it's not going to cook your food faster. It's going to evaporate your liquids too fast, so that everything sticks and burns. This is especially true for tomato and milk based foods. And, your electricity or power bill will surge, if your stove goes above medium-high or 450 degrees for the oven. Your food will only dry out and be tasteless. 3. Don't forget to stir your food during preparation to avoid uneven cooking or cold spots. Do you have any cooking tips that you would like to share?
