i am the youngest of the family and my siblings were finish studying while i am pursuing mine, its hard 2 loss a father, were not that close before because im kindda shy to open up to him, but when he died a month ago i feel emptiness within me, something a regretful feelings that when he is alive before i did not make a way to spend a happy time to him because im fun of going out w/ friends... he has been a good father to us, very responsible, now i realized how important he is 2 me, things are very different now, i have to work hard to help also my sister which is the only breedwinner of the family and supports my studies... i have a hard time to think of my situation now... (sigh!)

I lost my father almost 5 yrs ago. It doesn't get any easier. But you learn to live with it. Like you I did not open up to my father either. I regret it now, but my mother tells me he knew how I felt and that I really loved him. I think it is that way with most parents. Just remember, tell the ones you love that you do now.
I talk to my Dad and open up to him, it helps, I like to think he is listening to me now, when I didn't talk to him before.

I'm sorry for your loss.I lost my father when i was only a month old but i try not to think of it.My mother worked very hard to give us both a good education. We've grown up now but some losses are just irreplaceable.I do wish sometimes that i had a father figure in my life just like my friends do.But you'll realise its all for the best.Don't be too hard on yourself;its human nature not to realise the value of someone till they're gone.I'm sure your father knew you loved him and just didn't show it.Because thats how parents are.
