Let's Keep Him....

The children begged for a hamster, and after the vows that they would care for it,they got one. They named it Danny. Two months later, when the mon found herself responsible for the creature, she located a perspective new home for it. The children took the news of Danny imminent departure quite well, though one of them remarked, "He's been around here a long time. We'll miss him."
Yes, Mom replied, " But he's too much work for one person, and since I'm that one person, I say he goes. Another child offered, "Well, maybe if he wouldn't eat so much and wouldn't be so messy, we could keep him. But Mom was firm. Its time to take Danny to his new home now. she insisted "Go and get his cage.
With one voice and in tearful outrage the children shouted, "Danny? We thought you said Daddy!"......LOL I received this in the mail today and thought I'd share it with my friends. Have a great day.

Yeah kids do and say the funniest things. My grandson yesterday said the reason his papaws truck had a dent in the front, was because papaw couldn't keep his eyes on the road. He can come up with the funniest things.

aww, this is a cute funny story ! thans for sharing . we had hamsters growing up and my mother ended up taking care of it all by ourselves. When i got older i got one and I notcied how cute they were , but super messy . I ended up giving it to a friend. I think if you have a glass cage it would 't be so messy.
Have a good one

Yeah they are messy. We had hamsters and guinne pigs when we were younger. The guinnes were nasty. Constantly going to the bathroom. I'd take a hamster anyday. Have a good day.

That was so funny. I can see how that they got mixed up. If Daddy is messy, and Danny is messy, and if mom does all the work for both of them, well then they would get confused. Its a good Daddy did not stay in the cage or a dog house, or mom wold really be in trouble.

Glad you enjoyed. Some daddys need to be kept in cages. Confine the mess to one area....lol

Thanks for sharing such a nice joke. It shows that how frustrated the children were with their daddy.I think, nobody likes a person who is giving orders and controlling you, whether he is your daddy or your boss.

Kids should be the one take care of the animal that asked for. If they don't then the little critter has to go. Lesson learned.

That's cute. Always good for a giggle. My daughter wanted a beta fish. She has him. But I am the sole caretaker. The email has a ring of truth. lol

Same here. My kids wanted cats. We have 2 that I take care of. The kids did fine when they were just kittens.

That is really funny!!! I don't think I would ever have a small pet again. I did have a gerbil or hamster (I don't remember which), but I finally had to give it away because it was such a mess. But I can see getting rid of messy daddies also. Of course, since I am such a messy person anyway, maybe I should get rid of me instead. Thanks for sharing that!!!

LOL. It had me going there for a minute too. I think I would have kept the hamster first also LOL. That is funny. Some men are messy and they are more work than a hamster could ever be LOL. At least we can cage the hamster up and feed him and clean up his little mess when we feel like it LOL.
