Okay, probably I'm just lazy and it has become a habit. Waking up at 6 in the morning would have been a WOW if I could wake up without wanting back to sleep.
However, I do have the alarm set every night and the alarm would wake me up from the 'middle' of sleeping. But I tend to have the 'unconscious' habit to turn off the alarm clock and then go back to sleep.
Any idea about forcing ourselves to really get up from the bed? LOL. Your suggestion would be appreciated very much! Happy posting in myLot!

Well, I am sure there are many here are like this, and would rather stay sleeping. But since I work Swing shift, and do not get home until 1 a.m. not getting up is a Good thing. Just wish I did not have to go to my apts. in the morning so I could sleep in longer if need be.

Sleep early and have rest, make some alarm clock and even set your mind that you have to wake early in the morning. That's I always do, sometimes I woke up before the clock alarms.. Sometimes when I have to do a lot of things the next morning I am excited that's why I wake early. It's like a routine for me.

oh yes... i have trouble to wake up early in the morning sometimes... but most of the times, i am able to do it... what i do is to make sure that i have enough sleep the night before so that i have enough rest... most of the times, if i have enough sleep, i won't have any problem waking up in the morning and i feel fresh actually... so try to sleep earlier at night and have enough rest... that's all i can say... take care and have a nice day...

Not always, I just wake early when I've university, otherwise, anytime else, I don't wake up early, I wake late after 10 am or maybe after that, I hate to wake up early because I can't concentrate at morning and I'll suffer from headache, espically If I had long driving trip or something related to public transportation.

put a loud alarm clock far away from your bed but loud enough to wake you up. Gets you irritated and so have to walk all the way there to stop it. and then thats up to you to not go back to bed.I hope it helps. Or you can just put a pail or water with a cloth by your bed. get up , use the wet cloth and just wipe your face. I hope it helps you.

I work online late so I sleep late, but I always seem to wake up around the same time each day. Most times when I have to get somewhere early I have to get up very early, like 5.30.The only way I can do this is set my alarm.

well i still have this this habit of going to be around midnight and waking up between 5 and 6 in the morning. it started when i was attending high school. i still do it.
i just get up an hr later. its a habit i have. i get up and start out my day like i would like if i were still in school.
i guess old habits die hard.
i don't like to sleep too long. i dont like to waste any time during the day doing nothing when i could be doing something constructive.

i usually wake up at around 6:00 in the morning everyday.. even if i dont set my alarm clock to wake up that time, i really leave my bed at that time.. i guess it's really about my body clock.. once you are used to waking up early, you'll get used to eat and you will be awake even you dont have an alarm clock..

You would have to define "early". When I lived in California I got up at 3:00 a.m. and was on the road by 4:30 because the drive to work was an hour and a half. At least they gave us a 4 day 10 hours per day work week.
Now that I am retired I sleep in till 4:00 a.m. My cat usually comes in to wake us up when the alarm goes off, so it is pretty easy to get up.
When hubby retires next year I may sleep till 6:00 a.m. and will feel pampered.

Get cats... or even dogs!
Ever since I began owning cats, I have never had to set my alarm!! It's been years now... they are CERTAIN to wake me up BRIGHT and early... and in the winter time... DARK and early, so they can go outside! GEESH!
Some dogs are also good for waking up people early so they can go outside, too. But I know my cats are early-risers... and they do not have a SNOOZE button either.

I used to wake up early as soon as light appears in the horizon. But now I have learned to sleep it on till 8-9 in the morning.
Well, if I go to bed early like around 8 pm I would surely wake up early. But lately I have been going to bed real late like 11 pm so I also automatically wake up late.
I know it's not easy for most people to habitualize themselves to go to bed early but once you get use to it you will see the big difference and the many benefit of it.

I have my alarm set to get up early every morning because I have to take insulin at the same time every day. I have my alarm set across the room. That way I have to get out of bed to turn it off. By the time I have walked across the room and back to the bed, I am usually awake enough to get my insulin taken and start the day. It works for me. You might try moving your alarm clock so you can still hear it but have to get up to shut it off.

The way I have heard other people with this problem solve it, is by putting their alarm clock on a dresser far enough away from the bed that they have to get out of bed to turn it off. I haven't had to set an alarm clock for years now because I just wake up when I have to. If I have to get up at 6am I just do, or if I have to get up at 7am I do, or 8am. It is like I program my brain to wake me up when I have to get up.

Wow I thought I was really bad for getting up in the morning. I will have at least two different alarm clocks set. I have to be at work by 4'45 am . So I have one set for 4;10 and the other one set for 4;15 or around that time. They both go off every ten minutes if i hit the snooze button. Then about ten minutes before having to be at my barn I jump out of bed, dress grab my tea and walk to the barn.\
Even if i get lots of sleep I hate getting up in the morning. But i am by nature a night bird. 3am use to be my bedtime about four months ago until i got this job.
I went from grave yard to early early mornings. fun eh.

If I have college, I wake up at 7am, if I do not have a specific time that I have to be up for then I tend to get up between 8:30am and 10am. So compared to most of my friends I get up early as many of them don't actually get up until the afternoon, which I find to be a great waste of time. I would love to be able to get up early, but as my friends get up late and go to bed late, I find that all the great conversations go on later at night, so I would not be getting enough sleep if I woke up any earlier.
