2, one for front, one for side, none for back sliding door. It's a HORRIBLE idea to leave extras lying around because thieves KNOW people do that, no matter how smart you think they are. I have extra keys left with area friends, just in case, plus we have a security system. It's more for OUR protection than that of our things. Anything they steal is just stuff, some not replaceable, but it's just stuff and I can't take it with me. :D

I meant to say "no matter how smart you think YOU are", not what I wrote, which makes no sense, lol. If you think you are cleaver, they are more so, believe me!

Lol,I knew what you mean't.It is not smart to leave keys around. It is OK to leave them with people you can trust. We had a security alarm system at where we used to live. There is one hooked up here, but it is not on.They owner said that it never has been.

My keys are on my person at all times when I am not at home. Where I live you can't hide a key somewhere the crooks will find them, take everything you own and leave you nothing.

I have a set of my keys on my keychain, and I have an extra set that I leave with my parents at their house. That way if I get locked out I can get in with their set. My landlord of course has a set, but they charge you if they have to let you in to your apartment if you're locked out.

Well, I have locked myself out of my house so many times in the past, so I do have several keys. I have two sets of keys. I have a house key on both sets, then I have one hide outside under a rock,in my rock garden. My daughter also has a key to my house.I hate locking myself out of the house.

We only have two keys to our house. One is on my keychain and one is on my husbands keychain I would not feel safe leaving a key outside somewhere for someone to find I want my keys all inside the house.

I know I have one key that fits one of the three doors and that my husband has one for another door but we rarely lock our doors so we don't use them very often.

I have a total of six keys for my home. There are three people in my home and we each have a set for the front and side doors. I used to hide some outside of my home but I have not done that in a long time. I have my keys in my bowl. My husband usually drives so he takes his and my daughter also has a set.

I have an extra house key inside my car. I considered hiding outside of my home. I live in a condo. The homeowner association provides gardening for all the common areas. I tried to find a hiding place outside, but I was afraid the gardeners would find my key if I hid it in bushes or planters.
