Long distance relationships are really hard to manage. It lacks being there to provide person-to-person support and contact. Talk to each other often, but do not force the relationship along, otherwise it will become boring quickly. Set up a goal, and work towards it. Try to set up a date (as in a day or month) for some sort of visit or something, so that you can get to know each other person-to-person. Give it a year, and if the two of you are still together, set a move-together date. Say, January 2010, for example. It will give you something to work towards together.
