one of my friends is a vegetarian. how do vegetarians get all the nutrients they need?

Well, you can get the nutrients from the vegetables you eat. If a person decides to be a vegetarian he must know the food that contains the nutrients as substitute for the meat,fish and eggs. Being vegetarian is good than eating meat all the time. If you just know how to prepare the food that taste good like it has meat in it, you will enjoy to be a vegetarian. There are also vegetarian meat that you can buy in the supermarket that really tastes like real meat.

Very easily, provided a vegetarian eats a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, etc.
You'd be amazed how little protein the body actually needs - in fact, animal based protein is not good for your body, and too much protein depletes the body of calcium anyway.
