Gas Prices Effecting Families

I was just wondering how the gas prices are affecting you the American families in reference to farming, childcare, vacations, short getawaya and so forth. I know I have friends whereas yes its taking 2 nowadays to work but at the same time it seems everything that one of the spouces makes is doing nothing but paying for gas and childcare....How is this gonna benefit the blue collar workers. Its getting to whereas now I have heard folks are getting so desperate to survie that they are actually getting brave enough to come up on folks carports when people are asleep and empty the tanks then.....I believe this is just the beginning and that times are gonna really get desperate before it is all said and done....

With such a demand on fuel my family is not going to let it bug us. These things are always going to happen. To be totally honest the fuel prices have not affected us in anyway. We still go to town when we go to town. We go on trips for going on trips. We get purple fuel hence it is alot cheaper than getting it at the pumps. We live on a farm so we buy our fuel in great quanties so we did get a tax break on that one. If you are worried about people stealing your fuel I suggest you get a locking fuel cap. That is the only sure way that you are going to know that you will still have fuel in your vehicle.

Our farm is located 2 hours west of Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. After prices of everything going up like sprays and fertilizers for graining. My fiance and his dad decided its time to get out of that. It honestly doesn't pay us to do it anymore. So we are out of the graining department. We do however still hay and bail and that. And we do have about 200 head of cattle. We do a bit of beef farming but only to people we know. As I have said we got rid of all the grain land and kepted a few select ones that we use now.

This is affecting everyone. I'm very concerned. I am considered in the "working poor class" and I hear concerns from middle class people and even those that I would normally consider well off. The elderly are particularly vulnerable. This winter is going to be very rough on a lot of folks. I haven't seen a lot of gas syphoning in this area yet but i'm sure it will come to that.

I think everyone should invest in a locked gas cap. I am going to. I had one on my last car. It can be a pain when it is freezing cold but well worth it.

Gas is affecting not just me, but my family as well. I work full time and go to school full time and its really starting to become a huge burden on me. I mean there have been days when i have gotten gas instead of getting something to eat or drink. I know that all of these are life choices, but its starting to hurt my pockets a lot.

I am from Australia and the petrol/gas prices are just teriable. It is not just petrol that has gone up, but everything like food. Because the trucks have to pay more, we have to pay more for the food. I really think that the whole world is getting ready for another great depression!!!

it has affected us indeed limiting the number of trips we make to the mall or simply to get groceries. well, what we do is stock up on supplies and never leave the house. we are also considering alternative means of transportation such as riding a donkey or a carabao. hmmmmm, that really sounds interesting.

Gas is affecting all of us. Food prices are higher because of higher transportation cost. I have to limit my driving. It is very difficult because I have my own business and I am depending on driving and gasoline. It means that I am making less....

I think gas is effecting everyone even though they just voice it out, sadly they need that gas to get places quickly, I have seen the diminishing in just random driving unless it's a motorcycle lol. I can't drive I use my feet but I do have to pay someone a lot more to carpool me around places!!!
