Texting and teenagers!

for me, as teenagers, i text lots and lots..i dont know why, but i do love texting..texting my boy, my friends and almost everyone..myb because of the trend nowadays..i dont really know bot dat..

its cheaper to text than to call, heheehe...

I don't really understand it either, but in a way it does make sense. In the very old days, one would say "why pick up the phone? Why not just walk over and see the person?" And it's "Why text? Why not just pick up the phone and call the person?" A long time ago shy people hid behind the phone, now they hide behind the text message.

probably because this texting thing has become part of their lifestyle. a lot of young people have been hooked into texting (rather than using the land line phone) for reasons i cannot grasp. i'm 23 and i'm not hooked in texting---probably i'm over the 'texting phase' these are my personal reasons for opting to communicate using texting... 1. distance. (i'd rather pay 1 peso worth of text than spending 10 pesos in a minute's worth of long distance call) 2. shyness can also be a factor 3. it's cool and everybody's doing it.

well i am a teenager and i text a lot too. i dont know. i can think of a lot of different reasons. A. I dont feel like picking up the phone and holding it to my earr while i am mutitasking. b. I get the advatage of when some one asks me a question that i dont want to answer, i can just walk away and act like i had to go some thing without them knowing that i really just didnt want to talk to them. those are some of the reasons that sometimes i like texting more than calling.
