Pool Toys

Do you still enjoy playing with pool toys? If so, which pool toys are your favorites? I've been trying to get some exercise by swimming lately, so I've been inviting a friend over about once or twice a week to make sure I go in. Yesterday she suggested to me that we get some pool toys because that way it would be even more fun to get in the water. And even though they might not be real exercise, at least it would make us want to get in. Once we're in, we always do at least a few laps. Currently, the only pool toys I have are rings to dive in after. But those get pretty boring after awhile and are mostly for if kids come over. My friend suggested I get some of those pool noodles. But what else might be fun?

How about some water volleyball? Or maybe basketball? Something like that would provide more variety, and might be a lot of fun when your friend comes over. This sounds silly, but, would you be interested in synchronized swimming? I'm sure you could find some music you might like to create some moves to go with. I said it was silly:)

Funny you mention this, but I actually took synchronizing swimming and water ballet as a child. So not too silly. ;) We almost got a volleyball net across the pool, but ended up going with getting a deep end instead. It might still work though, I'll have to look into that. Water basketball definitely sounds fun. I've seen a lot of floating hoops that would work well for that in our pool.

My mother had a kick board to help with her exercises. Personally, I don't much see the point in pool toys.
