What type of book do you prefer fiction or non fiction? Real things or books with story's? If you choose fiction what genre and if non fiction what type of non fiction book.
I personally favor Fantasy and Adventure fiction as I can escape into a world that I can be alone in. A world that is truly different from our lives. I've also read more fiction books and it grabs my interest by far as compared to real life books.

I prefer non-fiction books, I'd rather read something educational and learn the facts. I'm always striving for knowledge in new areas and subjects so educational books can be of great use - especially psychology and related areas or computers or music.

I can't say I prefer one over the other. I love to expand my knowledge, so non-fiction is usually my first choice, and that would be whatever it is I feel like learning at the time. But I enjoy a good mystery or historical novel to relax and allow my mind to escape reality.

I love fiction best. It's nice to take break from my reality and all of it's problems and experience someone else's for even a little bit.

If I am reading to get sleepy I want my ficion, and its
usually mysteries and private eye stories, and if I
'am readding to learn something then I am usually
reading about writing, or biographies or rock collecting
'or a number of other hobbies of mine. I love both fiction
and non fiction. I am a book worm for sure. and also an
'Agatha Christie fan.

I like fiction very much, in both English and Spanish, but I also enjoy reading non fiction books, like the travel series by Michael Palin, for example, or Dervla Murphy's adventures!

Ilike fiction best.. I generally choose to read romances, anecdotes, jokes, recipes, thought provoking articles .I do not particularly fancy science fiction , and have a partiality for wit, humour and light hearted romance.I love to read descriptions and I also like to write descriptively. Talking descriptively is a habit that I have to get rid of.I do not like realism because we see enough of realism in life.Be it films or books I like only slightly rosy versions that make me escape into a fantasy world of my own. Philosophical sayings and quotes are something that I love though they are relevant to the current world. I adore writers who write profound all time truths when it petrtains to human behaviour.

I like them both. I love stories based on true life those are really interesting since they really happend but then fiction can be really good because you can come up with all kinds of things in the story even though they could never happend.

I have always enjoyed reading non-fiction, in particular biography, autobiography, history, travel writing, text books and art books.
I started reading modern fiction last year and have not stopped reading it since. I had only previously read great literature, which I also enjoy, but now I am enjoying mysteries and thrillers too.

I prefer non-fiction books as they synthesize what happens in reality and are better to my understanding. They are less complicated.

I prefer nonfiction for the most part, but will occasionally read fiction. I have a lot of interests, including crafts, American history, homesteading (back to nature type), gardening, frugal living, simple living, writing, and on and on, so I don't run out of things to read about.

Dear friend,
Even though I do not read much I like movies make of fiction may be the way they take it is more better with much of Mr.Steven Speilberg style. I would like to see those inventions that is more beyong limit and expectations. The much awaited future to come, the world may be the imaginery world that is waiting for the generations to come. I prefer more of movies that too if taken in the better way, the fiction one.

I prefer fiction. I like to escape into the book and find it harder to do so when it's real. Sometimes I read some real life crime stories.
When it comes to fiction I enjoy thriller/suspense novels. I like trying to figure out what will happen next.

It really depends for me. On the non-fiction, I like reading about animals, sometimes in-depth. Mostly wolves and other canines. On the fiction, I like just about anything. Currently I am reading, or at least trying to read, the Aliens series. I also read a lot of manga, although I am not sure if that would fall under the fiction category, or have a section of its own. And, I agree with you, Wabuser. Fiction books are great at grabbing someone's attention. I like how they have the ability to take the reader and throw them into a different world. If only life was our own fiction book...

i prefer to read fiction books. i like mystery/adventure/fantasy/horror books. i read a lot so i cant really stick to just one genre. i tend to like them all except romance books, they bore me. some non-fiction books can be interesting, but for the most part i think i get enough "real life" stuff from text books in school. sometimes all i want is to get away from it all and books can take me there.
