Everyone has their own artists, bands, and sounds they are most loyal to. For some people, there are various artists and genres they are passionate about their entire life, and for others their taste in music tends to evolve depending on what is popular or various phases in their lives.
Which category do you fall into?
I am not quite sure how to explain why this is, but I have pretty much had the same favorite artists my whole life. The first one I ever admired was Garth Brooks and he is a personality whose music I still cherish very much to this day and at this rate, I always will. I have always been very passionate about any of the country singers whose music was popular while Garth Brooks was still there leading the way. And every time I am introduced to a new artist or genre I like, the same thing happens - it is something I enjoy for ever and always and it never gets old and I never outgrow it. I do love all kinds of music, and these days I do not even like most mainstream music at all so the artists I tend toward are usually people no one has ever heard of. And some of this music may carry more significance depending on the phase in my life, but my overall taste has never changed, and it certainly was never dependent on pop culture like it was for so many of my peers.
How have your tastes in music evolved? Do you still like the same music you did a decade or more ago, or are you more likely to go through phases?

i think there are some tracks which you like all the time but i strongly believe that a listener,s taste changes by time you get mature in music.. music is a new world....

That definitely seems to be the case for so many people, and it is understandable why. As people grow and mature, their perspectives towards life and understanding of different things changes a great deal, and as this changes, so does the type of music they relate to. Thanks for your response.

Yes... sometimes it's either music or it's noise! Or as Louis Armstrong said, there are only two categories, good music and bad music! And yes, it does express so many feelings in a very positive way and has the tendency to make one cry sometimes! Thanks for your response.

I somewhat go in phases on music. For example, sometimes I like classical, sometimes show tunes, sometimes bluegrass, and lately, country.
However, I always basically have the same liking for some artists and styles of music. I always like music with harmonicas, and my favorite artist has been Larry Adler probably ever since I heard recordings of his.

My favourite music is video game background music, themes and even soundtracks. I think they are great. Anime themes are great too. Other than that, there is soft listening, jazz and top-40.

I have to say that I strongly agree with you my friend I have always liked country music, and the first artist I ever admired was Garth Brooks and he was the reason I got into country music,he has a great personality and he is most successful country artist if you ask me,and that is why he got the Crystal Milestone Award at the CMA awards, even though there are a lot of other country artists who are awesome to.
