Please come talk but, please brush your teeth if you've been eating any onions like mine shown here. This is a shot of the onions I pick at least once a week now that they've grown so well. Gawdd they taste so great too. Are you eating any onions from your own garden?

You know AGB you keep giving me more and more reasons to come a visiting! I really miss home grown onions that my Grandad used to grow - nothing tastes quite like them. Maybe one of these days I will get the other half and Niamh to find some space to grow some! xxxx

My family don't grow oiions, and i don't eat that much, although i know it's good for health

I think I saw a discussion about this yesterday from you? Maybe and then again maybe not. Seems I recall reading one along those lines. I hate water loss. I love onions fresh grown.

Yeah, i did post a discussion about the running water, you're right. Now it's ok now, oops, it's inconvenient when lacking of water.

i can't seem to get onions to grow :(
something about the ground seems to be too damp, even in sun.i'm thinking of building a raised bed,and maybe adding something to the soil if need be to try again.

A raised bed is a great idea if the soil is too moist.

No, I haven't got a garden. It's already June and I haven't had the time or the physical capability to till a patch to grow things. But I love onions! Funny thing, I always hated them and about five years after I was married--around age 38 or so--my husband finally impressed me with the majesty of onions! The husband is gone but the love of onions remains, they are so versatile and tasty! I don't eat enough to have a bad smell but they certainly add a wonderful flavor to nearly everything.
Enjoy your wonderful crop!

I don't till. I dig it all by hand each and every year. A lot of work but worth it to me. I want to buy a tiller but they are so darn costly.

We planted some green onions and they are doing really well this year. My husband and I love to eat them with just about everything. We had some today chopped up over top of our spaghetti with some tomatoes. I love em'. We don't have any fresh tomatoes yet but they have really shot up there in the last week or so. I hope to have some soon.

Nope I can't say that I've even planted any onions in my garden. So far I only have a cherry tomato plant. I hope to plant some more this week while I am off work, maybe I will have to get some onions.

Very nice! I do like onions. I would like to grow things, but don't really have space and need to stick with things that can grow in containers. So far I have a small tomato plant, that I HOPE is still alive out on the deck, and some packets of seeds! But I'm working on it. :)
