I was doing a project on my computer. Then all of sudden the computer crashed.Wow, that's a drag!I lost the whole data, now I have to do it from scratch. Fortunately for me ,I told my boss about it,he gave me extra time to do the project over again. Have your ever encountered similar situations?I was really upset then.

yeah.. I really hate that when it happens especially when we are rushing thru it.. AS u also work, when one is serious in their work at the moment, we won't stop half way, no matter how, until we have finished the whole thing.. As a result, most of time, we end up not saving the thing we have done so far, and then the computer suddenly crashed!! I was very frustrated when things like that happened and so i will always start my work early and save it bit by bit every time i take a break ^_^ LUckily for u, your boss is willing to give u more time to complete your project ^_^ I must say, u have a really good boss.. hehe

That is awful when that happens! Take it as a sign that you needed a fresh approach. Always look on the bright side of life. Great about your boss being so understanding. I too can recall the feeling of hurt, anger and despair that develops when after hours of effort your work is lost. I hope it will be easier the second time round

i did, when i was working then as office clerk of my uncle's office. we we're working overtime for that very long brief to be brought to the Supreme Court the next day. i was the one who was tasked to type it, while my uncle do the writing. it was almost 12 midnight when it was finished and all the corrections was done. we were really exhausted, that i forgot to save what i typed. in the morning when i was about to type for the copies of the final brief, i could no longer find it. my uncle was so angry, but he has no time for long talk with me because he has to fly for Manila early in the morning, so i was save. what we did was photocopied all the papers and have him bring it to supreme court. but still i need to retype it for the future corrections. i was really upset for what happen.

Fortunately, though I have had my computer freeze up, it has not been at a time when I was doing anything of importance.

I hate it when that happens to me. I have had that happen to me several times and I lose all of my work. I have to start all over and that takes alot of time as well. I then lose my train of thought sometimes also. I am glad that your boss understood and gave you extra time on it. I wish you luck this time and I hope your computer does not crash on you.

oh yea.i used to have a computer with a flaw in the chip-it'd overheat and go down at random.usually right in the middle of working on something.i had days where i wanted to take a sledgehammer to it,until i could afford a new one i had to put up with it though.

Yes, what a bummer! I hope it does not happen again! Can you save it frequently to avoid losing all the data?

Yes, it has happened to me but not for a few years. If I'm working with writing something, I save it every few minutes so if I crash or the electric goes out, what I have so far will not be lost.

I have one tip which maybe helpful. Alway press Ctrl+s to save you work after you make any important modification. The even in the case of a computer crash, you lose nothing.
