How do you know a friend is your best friend?

Well as for me I consider them as best friends if they are willing to die for me and if ever I feel the same way for them (vice versa).

yeah i consider who really shares our feelings and try to help us when we are in a problem.to help in certain issues. but you cannot believe any one for just you have received a help from him.anyway thanks for the good post happy mylotting. keep posting and discussing have fun take care.

You have to understand the meaning of a true friend before you can be one. I have not many close friends in my life, but I am happy like that. People have treated me badly and I was bullied all the way through school so just one or two close friends is all I need. My family are the most precious things in my life and I love God with all my heart. God is my closest friend.

hi kenchiprincess. how are you? one thing i can say about friends in general, those who will stand by you when the going gets tough are the ones to be considered as the rare jewels of life. due to tough circumstances in the past, i was able to winnow who are those people sincere to me and who treasures me as i a friend, and i with them. take care:-D

A bestfriend will understand what you have done to mess it up. Unless you royally pissed them off, than I doubt you can explain anything.

You wont get Best friend when you try to make him your best friend.. Best friend comes to you naturally and gradually you will became good friends..

I think its not that easy to know who is our best friend. Generally we assume the person which we interact much as our best friend. But in my view a true friend is a one who may not be there in our happiness but will always stand in our tough times.

I think a good friends are always on your side, they believe in you whenever, and laungh when you laungh and cry when you cry.

A friend is a best friend if that friend accepted you as who you are and not who he wants you to be. (Friendship is a lot like love, right?) If he had known who you truely are, your clumsiness, your cry-baby attitude, and a lot of your weaknesses, and still he stay close to you, I think you can consider him as your best friend. Also, if he had been there in your most down moment, when all of the world is looking down at you and telling you how stupid you have been, your best friend would still be there beside you. Of course, it takes time to find one. And best friends pass the test of times.

I only consider a friend as my bestfriend when he/she pass my qualifications these are some of my requirement for a best friend A friend who is always there when I need him/her Someone I can trust to, Someone who can keep a secret Accepts me for what I am, Never make any step that can harm me, Will always be there even in good times or in bad times, A friend I can go to when i have very difficult problem, One who will never make me down, One who will save me from darkness one who will be my guide for goodness Someone to lean on, Someone to call for help etc...

The ones that go the extra mile for you. The ones that love ya like a sister. Treat you like there was never a time that you weren't friends. One that you feel comfortable with.

I believe that a person has to be a part of your life for quite a while to be classified as your best friend. My best friend has been my friend for 22 years now and we were friends in school but as the years went on and we stayed close and had so much in common she became the one person that I know would do anything for me. My husband has a few people that he calls his best friends. I do not believe that you just have to have one because he also has been friends with these guys for years and they are people that are always there for him.

Thats the thing as kids we really dont know know what a TRUE friend is. What we know is based on what we see with our parents and on tv but as kids we dont know fully understand the meaning of a true friend. As we get older we learn how to treat our friends and how to act towards them that the misunderstandings can be resolved without too much problems. I have a couple bestfriends and we have the type of friend ship that we can literally tell eachother everything and there will be no missunderstandings at all.

well this is the hardest question that one faces in life.. Right now i'm also in search of best friend i'll consider that person as my best friend who always is there to help me in bad times, but never helps me to enjoy to good times, and neither comes to me in good times uninvited! hope we both will get one best friend soon!!

Hi kenchiprincess, I have a best friend and become best friend is a long process. When you both understand each other, we share things and it doesnt go to the third person. Dont like to stay away from each other .. if we dont talk to them we feel that some thing is missing. then after few days we feel this is my best friend..

For me, a bestfriend understands me more than an average friend. He/she listens to me and stays with me on crucial times. Those crucial times are moments in which I really need company. I don't usually show those times when I need such company but he/she is able to know about it and comfort me in her/his own unique way. ^^

Well I think a best friend is the one friend who excepts you for who you are and will stay your friend no matter what mistakes you make. I don't always think you need one best friend when you have a lot of close friends anyway =)
