Relationship between boss and leader

my leader will resign by the end of the month, he hope i could go with him, after a long talk with me, I told him i will take a thought and then reply to him.
Another day, my boss came to talk with me too. and he hope me stay at company, he promised me a good salary and a good future.
However, today, when i came to my boss office, he asked me why i cheated him as he told me that my leader told him i would leave some days later. Of cause, i felt very angry and a big suprise. i didn't say that. and how could i answer my boss.
Could you help me to deal with this happening, what could you do when you met the same thing.
(My leader is good at me, and i am very admire him.)

Ok first of all you are caught between a rock and hard place and have to make a decision as to who you're going to be loyal to.
My suggestion is that you take a piece of paper and on one side you write advantages and disadvantages of staying with your boss and on the next side you write the same of staying with your leader. Think carefully about what you are doing, because remember, at the end of it all, your job experience goes on your resume and if for some reason you have to leave, your next employer will want to know what happen and would even contact your last boss for information. So I say be wise. Both your boss and leader future seems set, you have to make your own future!

Thanks for your reply. but do you think that it's needed to tell my boss i didn't tell my leader i would leave the company or something. Or tell my leader that i dont want to go with you. should i speak out openly to whom?
Anyway, the first i want to keep the relationship well with my leader and boss.
