what do you prefer, sunrise or sunset?

i prefer sunset...its the time that the climate is good..and because im sleeping in morning and awake at night!

Same here, I love the sunset better...cause I'm an evening person. haha.

I like sunrise as it symbolises a new day, a new begining. After a tiring day you are hoping for a new fresh day to come and sunrise is a good symbol of that. It aslo symbolises freshness and growth. Though i would rarely watch sunrise as i wake up little late.

i am undecided about it. the thing i find unique and like is seeing the different colors that are mixed when the sun goes down.

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I perfer one over the other.

Sunrise or sunset, both are so beautiful it's hard to say but I think I probably love the Sunrise most. We live near the Tennessee River and I can remember so well, when my husband was still living, we would load the kids up and go camping. We always tried to get a campsite right on the river. The two of us used to love to get up early, just before sunrise and I'd rush and make a pot of coffee and we would go outside and drink our coffee and watch the sun rise while to boys were still inside sleeping. It was so beautiful, such a peaceful, romantic time for both of us. Now it's just a wonderful memory.

Sunrise is lovely and peaceful with the birds chirping and all but it is getting out of bed in time does not appeal to me so I must say sunset is my favourite especially in summer.

I went to Fiji in January this year and spent a few days on an island small enough that is was only a few dozen yards from the east facing Sunrise Beach to the west facing Sunset Beach. Both were beautiful white coral sand beaches so little to choose from them. We woke up each day before dawn and walked 20 metres from our bed into the sea and floated in 30C+ water to watch the sunrise over the sea horizon. Very special! Then in the evening we had our drinks in hand to watch the sunset on the other beach followed by some skinny dipping. Just great.

I like sunrise much more. Sunrise is like a new hope for me. Everyday is a brand new day. I like daytime. Sunset is beautiful, but soon it will be at night and perhaps I have to go home. I love China

I prefer sunset to sunrise. My house is quite far from seaside. So I can only enjoy sunset when I am free.

I like both sunrises and sunsets as they present a vivid range of colours to us. I would like to view both but viewing the sunset is more likely for most of us.

Both are very beautiful to watch. I prefer sunset, however, I got up a couple times to watch the sun rise while at the shore and I must say, it's a very peaceful and beautiful moment.

i like sunsets better because you get to see the sun's beauty and the colors that emerge from it. sunrises are good too, it's just that it's too early. haha

Good question, and it made me laugh because I actually almost never see a sunrise, but I see and enjoy lots of sunsets. They ARE different! And on the rare occasion that I *am* up at sunrise, I just love it and feel like I should be up at that time every day!

definitely sunset.. firstly, because for me the colors are just so beautiful.. secondly, i agree with you that sunsets are melancholic and makes one contemplate about life while a sunrise brings promises for a new a day.. and lastly im like you.. im not a morning person too.. ehehehe... :)
