why people want to go to the moon????

I don't think that it is about not loving Earth, it is more to do with excitement and pleasure and how different people feel these things differently. Some go underwater for their wedding ceremony, some keep cubs or even tigers as pets, etc. There are so many examples where people want to do things differently or do different things.

People want to go the moon because it is a new place, yes I do agree that we love to live on earth because we are born and brought up on earth, Earth is a home for all of us and we live here as a family members, but things do change may be some of them feel that we have to go to a new place buy the land there and live for some time enjoy ....because things change on day to day basis so imagine persons idea might get changed at any point of time, excitement is very important in life if that is not there then we cant enjoy any thing ..may be few of them just want to see that place and come back , it depends from person to person, even I feel like going to moon and spending some time there with my family...

I would want to go to the moon for the experience of it - I mean imagine actually walking on the moon in outer space - how cool would that be? They are already taking bookings for when the spaceship is available to go at something stupid like 2 million per person deposit!

I wouldn't buy land on the moon. There are no trees. Plus I get airsickness too easily. I probably wouldn't like the weather either - REALLY HOT or REALLY COLD!

Because I am an alien.HAHAHAHAHAHAHA No joke,I think that's why we can alive from the earth.Because we have curiosity.

They are very happy to live with earth, but they need to change their life style, and also very exciting for new place visit. Usually when get a chance to take new technologies and new things for testing and use for thrill, then who refuse this offers, many people wants to go for change and good experience for moon visit, some of wants to change their new status with moon world.

I have no idea why people want to go to the MOON. I don't like flying let alone being all the way in outer space. HOWEVER... After seeing the moon, Saturn with it's beautiful rings - it was life altering to be honest. The science museum here has this huge telescope in which you're able to see the moon and depending on where the planets are, you can see them also. It affects you somehow - it's hard to explain.

I don't know why they want to either other than maybe the adventure feeling of it. I'd much rather go to some of the historical places and parks and such in this country. Alaska is my dream trip - konw it won't happen, but nice to think about. There is so much in the USA to see that is amazing , interesting and fun and the works. Nothing to do on the moon - no Starbucks there or Burger King to get some fries to eat while driving or 32oz Big Gulps or any kind of history on the moon to be interested in...... so much here in the USA!

because they think that if nuclear war will happen on earth they can escape and go to the moon. How can we live their that no oxygen at all which is the number needs of our body, no gravity as what the earth has. how can we live happily in a place that are strange to us?

that is what we call man's folly! they want to explore the unknown as if that could help them change the world when it could not even help the people to have better lives. They are not contented with what is already known and they want to discover more things to outsmart God.

Since the beginning starting w/ Eve and Adan it is common to a people to be curious and hunger for knowledge.Between 1979 and 1972 people when seven Apollo ships went to the moon,And some of them said actually walked to the moon and took a picture and video.People started to be more curiuos and want to go to the moon and experience it them self. But if its possible that you can live and stay w/out helmet everytime in your head and safe to live in the moon i still choose earth to live on.Mybe some people who have lots of money that they doesnt know anymore how to spend thier money can do that.

They even want to have homes at Mars. The moon is mystical amd romantic. It has been conquered by man for a long time now. It is also nearest to us and even see it at night.

I'd have to agree that it probably is mostly curiosity. Especially with Star Wars, Star Trek, and all those things, people are really excited about this whole space travel thing. There might be other reasons, too. The Earth will run out of space. It will run out of resources. Generally speaking, the Earth will run out. So, it is up to scientists to find another planet for us to live on. I, for one, love this Earth, and plan never to leave it. However, I can't say I blame others for wanting to leave.

In ancient chinese mythology,there is palace on the moon with the name of GuangHan Palace.And there is a beautiful woman living in the palace,she is so lonely that only a rabbit accompany with she.She can not return to the earth because she has betraied her husband there.This myth has came down in China for thousands of years.So today's chinese have the responsibility to achieve the aspirations of our ancestors to land on the moon.
