Many of you know my 17 year old daughter has fish with odd names. Well... yesterday "Zombie", the black and white striped angel fish died .
She posted a bulletin on a social networking site. It cracks me up, so I wanted to share it with you all. She has got a great sense of humor and wants to be a writer.
Here is what she wrote:
"So, Zombie, my awesome black and white striped angel fish was murdered!
Earlier today, the smallest fish, Relish, was picking on Zombie, so I gave Relish a punishment by putting him in a Tupperware bowl for about two hours.
I think Relish was trying to show his toughness because he is so small and everyone else is humongous!
And these fish have been together since March and had gotten along just fine.
Just minutes ago, I discovered Zombie was no where to be found in my tank, until I lifted up a plastic coliseum type thing that's fairly big, and discovered the body lying against the blue rocky bottom.
Relish probably chased him everywhere, getting him trapped and put him in shock mode, thus killing him.
I'm thinking about killing Relish. He was cute at first, but now he sickens me. Haha.
I don't enjoy feeding my fish anymore now that Zombie is gone. Zombie was my favorite because he stood out and he always got excited when I'd lift the lid to feed them.
:)
Oh well. They have a million of them at Petco, I'm sure.
RIP Zombie."
Maybe it doesn't take much to amuse some people. She cracks me up all the time. Did you think it was as funny as I did... or is it one of those "you have to know the mind of the person to get it" type things?

She has a good command of words your daughter. I read it and I can almost see her writing it, very strange. Has she ever thought about writing, she might be quite good at it.
I did think it was funny and I got it straight away! So sorry about her fish though!

How cool you could see her writing it. I know what you mean.. that's awesome. She has writing a few books, has sold a few and is writing another one. She wants to write for NBC (the "thus killing him" part reminds me of 'Dwight' from the "Office") I keep telling her to write all of this stuff down.... that she CAN use it later
Thanks for reading ... OH and I LOVE your latest Icon BTW I saw your other post.. just haven't gotten to it yet

Your daughter has a sense of humor and she is smart. She might make a good writer some day. She has an observant eye and an active imagination which are good qualities for a writer. And she cares. She cares for a lot of things in her world and shares these with the rest of the world. Cheers!!

I had angelfish and that happened to one of mine once. I think it was funny and a telling story of what is in the mind of a 17 year old girl. All that teenage angst even over a fish. LOL Cute...

It was funny but so unfair to Relish, did she see him chasing Zombie??.. Relish is to be presumed innocent until he can be proved guilty.. And I am not sure the punishment was fair, 2 hours in a stuffy old Tupperware bowl.. She might be funny but will never be a judge, lol, or if she is, I don't want to go before her if I am accused of committing a crime.. She may have me locked away in a Tupperware bowl for years for a crime that I did not commit.. You may have a new Erma Bombeck on your hands.. Keep up the good work..
