This story beggars belief. The decaying bodies of 18 month old twin toddlers (a boy and a girl), were found by a sibling in their room, after he decided to investigate an unusual smell in their suburban home in Brisbane. The parents have been charged in court for failing to provide the necessities of life. It seems the mother told the police that she had noticed the twins were dead on June 8 or 9, adding that she'd been suffering from a cold and rarely fed or changed them. The father had told the police that he wasn't aware of their deaths although he'd walked past their bedroom several times since their death a week earlier.
I just felt sick after reading this. Unfortunately, this shocking news only got a mention in page 13 of some Aussie paper. I am not allowed to cut and paste here, so if you want to read up on the story, just google ' aussie toddlers starved'.

What sick, heartless people! I hope they get the worst punishment available for such a terrible crime against helpless children. I can't understand how some people can be so cruel.

I really cannot understand how the mum could do that to her own kids. They were 18 month old twins and yet they weighed only a little bit more than a newborn. It seems she hardly fed them, hardly changed their nappies. In the latest news report, it says the parents are now being charged with the twins' murder and torture. The neighbours didn't even know there were twins in that house but I think since the toddlers were so malnourished, they probably let out a very, very faint cry and so no one outside ever heard them.
