Does God really exist? Where is the actual proof?
I've been hearing a lot about Religion, and if Gods really do exist or not. Some people say that we (humans) cannot see God because God is beyond Science and Space.
Many people want to see God. If he's so powerful why can't he show himself in a huge form somewhere and declare that he is our Lord God.
I see Religion as a source of power and comfort for those who are at the end of their rope.
Look at the Pope for example, many people listen to him. If he says something, just about everyone will follow.
Napoleon had once said, "It is not the existence of God that matters, but the existence of Religion."
That statement means that Religion is able to control the people.
In some countries religion has more power than the government. I find that very wrong.
To me, Religion just seems as something that causes many wars and problems. Jewish people and Muslims dislike each other... and it's mostly because of Religion.
I think that Religion is a thing of the past for us. We have relied on it for way too long. We've grown independent from it.
State your opinions and facts please.
Also... I'm not trying to say that God doesn't it exist. I'm not really sure, but from the way things are currently going... I don't think he really exists.

I know that God exist because He was the one who gives us life. No one can ever create what is around us except God, our creator.
Living things and non living things God created them all. I don't want to argue anybody about the existence of God. I know there are people who don't believe it and that is their opinion but for me, I do believe God exist because of the things I've seen in nature that He created.
He is a living God.. not an idol who can not hear and see.

Let's try and look at this from the athiest's point of view.
How did life start: Big bang theory. What was there before that?. Nothing?
There is a creator a force greater than all that we know which brought about the creation of life and conciousness as we know it.
We should not mix up the debate on relegion and the existence of God. The exixtence of God is believed by even people who do not follow relegion.

For me, there is no doubt in my mind that God does exist, and his name is Jesus. With every living thing and creation of this life, look around and you can see everything that though has made. We would not be here lest it be of God and the creating of Adam and Eve in the bible.
And the things that happen in this world, are not due to Religion or god, they are caused from people who have chosen to start problems such as strife against one another for the way they believe. Personally, I feel this should be left to a matter of choice. Just because someone does not believe the same way you do, means they are wrong. That just might mean their understanding of things are a little different, and the only one who should ever judge or condemn us for them is God.

Hello,....... You may believe or not does not matter but God exists. If there is no God, who created this universe and who manages this.We can not see Him but we can not deny.God,the supreme power is limitless, invisible, and formless. He is the source of everything. It can't be seen or smelled or touched and is beyond the power of human comprehension.God activates everything, yet we can not see its actions.Man calls it Nature,we are God's children.God is everybody's true self.the body is not our true self.the body is controlled by God within us and He leaves we die.So have faith on Him.you will realise His presence within you.thanx.

I can understand why you are skeptical about the existance of God. I used to be like that too. But one day when I was 19, I believed and felt very very strongly that God does indeed exist. When I was 19 I was unsure about my life. I was constantly praying to God (I was raised Catholic but I'm not as strict about it as others are) asking him for help. I had this huge dilemma in my life and I kept pleading for God to tell me what to do. I know there's free will but I needed him to give me a hint as to what he might want me to do. I was in a car going from San Fransisco to Lake Tahoe and I was praying to God for help. We were passing by signs on the side of the road telling you how many miles to the next location. Then suddenly I saw one of those signs as a sign from God--literally. It said what I should do then at the end "Love God". It was all a blur. I only saw it for a second b/c we were still driving but I read fast and I know what I read. I asked my sister next to me what the sign said and she said "Lake Tahoe x number of miles". He is out there. You just have to believe. I still talk to him now. And I am not crazy.

I don't think it is possible to prove that God exists as much as it is possible to prove that God does not exist. True that people who believe in God has caused lot of bloodshed, but it is also true that people who disbelieve in God has brought more bloodshed. But it seems to me that when we say there is no 'other being' it will imply that human being is just made up of body, which is made up of atoms. Doesn't it follow? But if we are more than bundle of atoms, and has spiritual dimension it will imply that there is a possibility of the 'other being' i.e. God. Can't we argue like that?

If god dont exist we also dont exist, what i know from my religion this world destroy because of human being and not the religion, every religion is preventing us from doing wrong and destroy each other, i give you example how do you know there is a wind even you dont see the wind.. God dont have to show himself because IT everywhere and God been watching us all this while, and all the people doesnt realize that

How do you know wind exists? You can't see it, but you sure can feel it. Just because something doesn't have a view from our eye, doesn't mean it's not there.
I use to ask this.. if God created us, then who created him? I was the most stubborn person according to religion.
I guess what I"m saying is have faith and believe.
Have a good day

God said that he is the Alpha and Omega.. in His word the Bible..
then God is in place to create a Universe.. ^_^
How can we know our purpose in life if we don't ask our creator??
for example.. how can we know an invention to work if we don't have the creator's manual.. same to us.. God is our creator.. we should ask him what is our purpose here in the universe.. trough His word the Holy Bible.. ^_^
Then what is wrong in this world??
the Bible answer this question.. ^_^
it is because of our sin.. thus separate us from the holiness of God..
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8
just.. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (Proverbs 3:5)

Well, firstly, regardless of whether god exists or not, I do agree strongly with everyone that religion is such a great power. By believing in something, we have extra power to achieve something, and to set our foot firm on some ground.
When it comes to the existence of god, I would query, is this question really important? Is god equivalent to religion? I don't dare to give a conclusion here, as this is not a small issue.
I once heard a story about Buddha. Buddha was oringinally a price in India, and he eventually gave up of his power and possession after seeing all the pains, sufferings and phases in humans' lives, and became the Buddha. After becoming a Buddha, He tried to look back in His previous lives, and figuring out where is He from initially. However, aftering looking back so many lives of His, He still couldn't find an end to it, and eventually He gave up, realizing that this is in fact pointless to know where is He originated from.
My point here is to tell, the existence of God is in fact not the critical issue for us to believe in something. We have our faith in religion is just because we believe it, we trust it, and by abiding to the laws of religion we can be a relatively "good" person.
