I started a discussion about the Low Cost Housing projects here in the Philippines. While I was writing it on my notepad, I already gave it that title as that was really my intention or my subject, the house.
I finished the article and save it. I copied and pasted it on myLot's Start A Discussion page. But when I was about to submit the post, I changed my mind. I renamed the title of my post to My Wife Falls in Love Again. I don't know what came in to my mind to give that title. Maybe, I wanted to get your attention. But not to fool you, guys.
I am wondering if any of you, my dear friends, who used some kind of a catchy titles? Is it ok to start a discussion with titles that are not really related to the subject? Do you feel betrayed or fooled by those kind of posts? Isn't it a violation of mylot guidelines?
If you want to view the discussion that I mentioned here, please do check it. Here is the link: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1564957.aspx
Happy posting to all!

Hi best, the moment I saw that topic, I thought your wife fell in love again with another man. LOL. Seriously speaking, when I post a topic, I go straight to the point. I guess, it's not the subject that other friends get interested with but the content itself. But it's our choice if we want to catch their attention. Sort of a strategy to be responded. I think, I wasn't betrayed by that. It's ok with me.

Yes,
sometime I use catchy title too,
as this can catch people interest and at least visit my discussion.
Some topic look really bored,
which no people will ever pay their attention to it.

If someone thinks the topic is boring, a catchy title isn't going to change that.

As long as you weren't spamming. Which is not the case.
You should keep in mind though that if someone was interested in the subject of Low Cost Housing Projects in the Philippines and they saw a completely different "catchy" title they may skip over it.
