i need new pots and pans.. so ive started the hunt for some new ones thatll fit my needs and be durable to last and not be coveed in teflon thatll scrape off with the first washing (or bubble up the first time i forget im cooking something!) and have hit the trusty amazon.com for my adventures in shopping. i love internet shopping. i can find whatever the heck i want without having to deal with stupid people, and can do so leisurely in my jammies and barefeet as i am now, or nekked if i feel like it. along the hunt for cookware, i have also decided to add to our gaming collection and found a very shiny scrabble board thatll compliment the marble chess set that mal gamme for our anniversary quite nicely. black swivel board with black onyx tiles and silver lettering. squee!! im sure i will add a couple more unique items to my cart before im actally hittng the check-out button. do you get sidetracked while shopping and wind up buying other stuff you had no intention of even finding along the way? or are you a focused type shopper that only gets what yer after and nothing more? what unique and interesting surprise purchases have you made recently that have made you squeal like a girl?

That sounds totally like me. Ack! I'm crazy about cookware!
I have a blog post about that here:
http://homestead.valeriansrealm.org/2008/05/25/i-love-cast-iron-cookware/
So, if you haven't hit submit/send yet, make sure you throw in a cast iron pot or pan or two (or three) in there!
Scrabble sounds fun too!
Anyways, have fun! Almost ALWAYS I go to purchase something, and end up getting tons of other stuff, and NEVER the stuff I originally intended to get.
Anyways, have fun shopping!
:)

I have a small cauldron, or dutch oven, I'm not sure what the difference is, but I try to take it with me whenever I go camping. It's great for making any kinda "campfire baked beans" etc. Yum!

I pay money to see you shop nekked! LOL
I hate shopping, so I'm very focused.
I only squeal like a girl when someone buys something for me.
I'm a girl. People expect me to squeal.*sigh*

LOL, sounds like a plan to me, but you can leave off the thong - just the look of them makes me want to go potty and clean my butt! LOL

Actually, I love shopping and love finding things I wasn't planning on buying. Of course, this can become expensive, so I have been put on a very tight budget to make sure that I don't overspend. We are paying off medical bills (I am having my gall bladder removed next week and while everyone keeps saying it is no big deal, it is expensive). Plus we are looking at buying a house in December and are saving our pennies to go toward the deposit. Slightly off track, but I have to remind myself why I am not having fun shopping!

I am a focused shopper, never buying anything other than what I went for. This is born out of the habit of having too for so many years, that even though now I am in a much better situation I cannot break the habit.
So, because of this my recent purchases have not been interesting or unique but rather much needed bedding and household stuff! But it did make me happy when I got all that I needed at real bargain prices, so very happy!

Regarding pots and pans......we just bought some new ones, too and I find the Stainless Steel are just great. None of the problems you mentioned with T-fal rubbing off, etc and very durable.
My last purchase that made me squeal? You had to ask, right?
The I-Rabbit. The husband bought it with some of my input as well. It made me SQUEAL alright! Yeee Haaaw! Yippee I Aye Kai Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! We had fun anyway. It amazed us both.
