I drove into town to pick up some groceries and noticed that gas is down to $3.81 today. It has previously been $3.89 and above. Has anyone else noticed any drop in gas prices in their areas?

I do not think gas prices have decreased at all here. Last time I checked my local H.e.b grocery store was 3.85 a gallon and 3.89 at the shell station right on the other corner. I always find it ironic how gas can be even 10 cents cheaper at a station that is next door. Why would anyone go to the higher one if they could walk 10 steps to the cheaper station?

In the small town where we used to live, there were a couple of stations that seemed to be able to get buy with having higher gas prices - they were the ones that issued credit on accounts to regular customers. Some people would still go there regardless of the price because they could charge it and pay at the end of the month.

Wow, how nice! I would enjoy it while you can. It's only going up here but this week s slow increase of only a cent or two instead of 10-15 cents a gallon.

I was surprised because in the town to the south of us, it was over $4 just a couple of days ago.

I think it's down by a penny or two in some stations around here. I just got it for 3.90 and that is pretty cheap for this area. It still took 35.00 to fill the tank. I've got about one hundred mile drive tomorrow so I think I will probably need gas again tomorrow.**%!*.

I have not noticed a drop in our gas prices they have been staying pretty stable around 3.97 a gallon. I don't even look anymore because it makes me sick. I put twenty dollars in today, but only got right at 5 gallons and something. I would rather not look. It makes me want to cry.

That sounds great to hear about them lowering gas prices. We had been paying $3.99 for regular where we buy gas. They lowered it to $3.89 a week or so ago. I noticed yesterday that, with the 4 service stations that are right near each other, all four had the same price for regular except for one, which is always a penny or two cheaper. But, the premium gas was a different story. Where we buy had $4.04, and the highest was $4.289. I was shocked that they could raise their price so much higher than the other 3 stations and still get business.

Well, good news. I just checked one of the web sites where commuters leave daily gas station prices around town. It is down a bit. It should be going down for the rest of the summer. This is the time of year prices ususally fall at a slow pace. The oil companies have it rigged so they always make money and billions of dollars. They are the main cause of inflation, as far as I can tell. I guess the only solution is to make more money. One good investment is in oil stock. I know several people that are smiling because they bought oil stock years ago and held onto it.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice a drop in gas prices. It's still $3.75-$3.79 here. I did notice that diesel had gone down though. It was $4.49 a gallon instead of the $4.59 I've been seeing.

Not really, gas prices are not dropping at all. If they are, is only for one day. It drops one day and goes up another. Doesn't really make much difference to me.

I wish that the price of gas would go down here. It has been $3.97 for at least a week. We've not had gas at under $3.90 for awhile now. Actually, it was 4 weeks ago that it was at $3.76 and I jumped at that price before it went up because the 2 other gas stations had already upped their prices to $3.89. Where the heck are you, Melanie? I wouldn't mind $3.71 per gallon!!

Gas did go down one day last week, and hasn't gone down again, but at least it isn't going up, either! It ranges from $3.85 (cash only) to $3.93, at the stations near me.
