Japan has created a robot for lonely men! She costs $175. She is "strong, tough and battle-ready!"
"She's very lovable and though she's not a human, she can act like a real girlriend." What does that mean? Being a girlfriend/wife is such a piece of cake that any robot can do it? I will put a robot in my husband's arms while I go out with my friends. I wonder if she can laugh at corny jokes? :)

I am thinking the same thing. What man can relate to a doll? Don't answer that. :)

Now remember Sega made this...thing. Some of the gamers and I are joking about the whole thing. Sega was once cool... but its games took a major dive (as if the failure consoles weren't clue enough). A few of us think the game quality took a dive due to the investment and work into this, whatever it is. -_- This is where my gaming money went? "$#^#*&!"
Of course the whole issue of automaton women has been covered in fiction, ironically in japanese made anime. There are also more "realistic" looking robots being made/used in Japan and South Korea but a full body automaton is still in design and development phases. I had a discussion on this and basically the thinking is the life-size model of "robo-girlfriend/wife" will be available around 2050. But South Korea already has human to robot ethics laws... kinda strange and perhaps a sign these things might come sooner than estimate.

Just think! Men will no longer need real women! We can go get a tan while they play with their dolls. :)

I am sure they will be. We know that is not what they really want.

If she wouldn't break my heart why not? LOL Just kidding... nothing can replace the emotions of a real human being... I watched a lot of science fiction movies wherein they have attempted to copy the emotions of human beings... well there were some movies that I was touched because the robots were in fact able to simulate our emotions and act very human-like but it was only possible because of the other graphics of the movies... if she was bigger and had a face of a human like those in the movies maybe I'd like to have her as a companion but only as a friendly companion... LOL...
