My husband really surprised me tonight. He asked me what fruit flavored yogurt tasted like. I told him it depends on the flavor. Peach yogurt tastes like peaches, and strawberry yogurt tastes like strawberries. I told him some brands are better than others but they are healthy and a good snack. I told him I just bought a new supply this morning at the store and he was more than welcome to try any of the flavors I had in there. I'm so proud that is he going to give this a try. I've been trying to get hm to eat yogurt for years now. I guess there is still hope for him yet!
Does your husband ever surprise you with questions like this? He has only tried plain yogurt years ago and made his judgement on that one experience. I think he will like some of the fruit flavored yogurts! Does your husband eat healthy things like yogurt?

Why don't men like yogurt? My hubby will not even try it. He likes pudding, and ice cream and fat free, sugar free, frozen yogurt. I cannot understand why my hubby will not try yougurt.
When we where on vacation we had breakfast one morning at the hotel and I ordered a fruit plater when it came out it was beautiful. My hubby took one look and swiped a piece of cantaloupe. He has never eaten cantaloupe in our whole marriage. He then went back and ate more fruit. He does not eat much fruit. I guess my plater looked good. It was huge so I did not mind sharing.

Mine is the same way. I think it may be the consistency of yogurt that gives them a bad thought. However, my husband eats sugar free pudding and there is no difference in the consistency. Oh and he is the same way with fruits and most vegetables.

My hubby eats most anything except yogurt and some fruits. He love veggies. If he does not like something he will not complain about it he just does not eat it.I am lucky that way

My husband actually eats more healthy food than I do. It's not that I don't want to eat healthy, it's just that I alway seem to be in such a hurry and, aside from things like yogurt, healthy food usually takes awhile.
As far as trying new things. We both love to do that. But I always want to share the experience with friends and family and he says you shouldn't experiement on your friends.

My hubby has started eating healthier lately. Now that we're getting older, we both seem to have this problem of weight that's gotten put on that's staying. We both want to lose it, so both of us are actually eating healthier. Before he's mostly been a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so it's a pleasant surprise to see him become more open to fruits and vegies and more healthy snacks. He has been eating more yogurt too. I've already been buying yogurt because I like it for breakfast or for a snack. Now we're buying yogurt he likes too!

Wow that's pretty good! I don't have a husband but I've got a junk food addicted mother who easily works my nerves enough for two husbands with her eating habits, lol. She's diabetic so I have to watch what she eats because she'll easly go from being 51 to acting like a 5 yr old with all the sneaking of food she's not supposed to have. I can't get her to eat yogurt.

Oh wow, you have your work cut out for you! The first thing I did when we found out my husband was diabetic was to through out the sugar. That's right...no sugar in my house. I don't cook with it, I don't put it in coffee anymore--it's not there so he can't get it and neither can I. I also quit buying all snacks except low sugar granola/breakfast bars, nuts, etc.

My husband would only have it if it is frozen. He tries out healthy food once in while but I haven't seen him eat oat meal even the flavored one by Quaker. He eats fruits too but not as frequent as I do. I think these men needs to be forced in eating healthy instead of just having the tastier ones.

Mine won't touch oatmeal either but I don't have much room to talk there! I have tried the cinnamon flavored and that is pretty good! I keep telling mine that if all I cook is vegetables, he has no choice but to eat them. He said NOT! I could just see him going to McDonalds in that case.

When i was married,i am a widow, my husband would not
eat yogurt or cottage cheese, anything that was tart and I'dont think that he ever did change his mind.No my husband was a stick
in the mud when it came to eating healthy. Meat and potatoes, and spaghetti were more his style but he made a wonderful
beef stew and would eat all the veggies that way. lol.

Karen, I suppose I am lucky in that my husband has never been a picky eater. He was raised by a mother that believed fruit and vegetables where the staples, and starches and sweets a treat occasionally. He is not by nature a big red meat eater either. I was raised on a small farm and we grew our own vegetables so having a husband that liked what I was use to cooking and eating was important to me.... Yes that includes lots of dairy and yogurt.

That's funny that he's willing to try a new food. Of course when I met my hubby he hated Mexican food but after being with me he has grown to love it, so I suppose ther is always hope.
I never liked yogurt either, but I tried it when I was sick last fall and couldn't stomach solid foods. The Yoplait Whips Lemon tasted like lemon meringue pie to me. YUM!!!

I used to really hate yogurt because I had only tried the plain one. Then after years, I tried one that had fruit in it and I was so surprised. It was yummy! So I bought some and continued to buy it for many years. My husband would never give it a try. Then one day, years later, we were at my moms house and she served us yogurt cheese cake and my husband didn't know it was yogurt and he really liked it. When my mom told him it was made with yogurt instead of cream cheese, he was totally surprised and since then he has eaten yogurt too.
