Disadvantages of Laptop...

Well,laptop is still a little expensive than desktop,and not so advanced compares to desktop

I don't feel much of the disadvantages of the laptop except for the price. I have been using for some years now and I find it very convenient. And I could use it for hours, sometimes I even forget to off the power and it's still alright overnight. It depends on the user's preference, taste and perhaps convenience. I enjoy using the laptop and makes my life easierCheers,

I'm not sure what you mean about the heat from the laptop flowing into your body and affecting your health... I love my laptop because it's portable. I only use it at home, but I can use it in my bedroom or living room while I sit with my son since he hates when I am on the desktop in the office. If the heat bothers you, you can put a pillow under your laptop to keep it from getting you too hot or they do make special laptop stands that are designed for lap or desk use and help to keep the heat from your laptop away from your body or desk.

Disadvantages of laptop are many but it won't be a disadvantages if size and weight are the main things to be considered. If comparing laptop with pc, the laptop disadvantages are: 1. Laptop parts are hard to upgrade 2. Laptop parts are more expensive 3. Laptop labor and service are more expensive 4. Can't fix laptop by your self 5. Easy to break since the owner carry it more often 6. Easy to get stolen 7. Limited screen size 8. Limited slots

i think now days you can add your fan under the laptops (accessories / usb port). any others disadvantages, if the LCD is broken, you'll pay much...much...to fix it again. :(

i have not used laptops but we can guess its disadvantages. it cannot be used for a lon time. radiations from it may harm our body. harder to update. more expensive than a deskop. slower than a desktop. latops get turn off when it becomes hot. no space for attach optical drives.

I deffintley perfer and use a laptop. I just like it better before I use to use my parents computer which I couldnt use while watching tv. But with a laptop I can use and bring with me on vacations so I have it with me and post and check my emails when im away. Only problem with them are they dont have a lot of space never ran short on disk space with my computer.

I don't think there is any, except that the price is a bit pricey. If you are talking about health, I think the rays generated from the desktop monitor are far worse than the laptop LCD. Talking about using laptop on your laps, there is some hardware that you can use to make using laptop on your laps more comfortable, and it is also generating some fans to cool off your laptop while you are using it. =)

Laptop is not that powerful compared to desktop. And the price of the cheapest laptop is equivalent to the price of a powerful desktop.

well when i use laptop i feel restricted because of the keyboard & touch pad of the laptop. when i use laptops i feel like caged. i really don't like working on laptop but i have to work daily on laptop.

It's easier to use a mouse than the touchpad.

The only disadvantage that I could think of is that laptops are more expensive than desktops. Do you always put your laptop on your lap? I hope you do that only when you are traveling in a bus, car or train. When you are at home do use a table or a flat surface.
