Toddler Driving Car for His Drunk Mom

This woman needs her kids taken away from her. How stupid can a person be?
A US patrol officer stopped a car for suspicious driving and found to his surprise that a drunk mother had let her one-year-old son take the wheel, the Ohio state police department said.
Marya Green, 29, of Goshen Township, near Cincinnati, was arrested late on Tuesday and found to have a 0.11 per cent blood alcohol level - well above the 0.08 per cent legal limit, said the town’s police department spokeswoman Mandy Storer.
Her licence already suspended for a previous drink-driving offence, Green had put her infant son behind the steering wheel, while two other children aged eight and five were also travelling in the car, she added.
“Let’s be honest, a one-year-old child doesn’t have the skill to drive a car. We all know that,” Storer said.
“But he was riding, the hands were on the wheel. She was allowing him to steer.”
It was Green’s third drink-driving offence in six years, she said.

What I'm wondering here is why the baby? Why not the oldest. Not that that's right either... but seriously, if you're going to let a child drive, shouldn't it be the oldest? They at least have a better chance of allowing the passengers to survive.
Not only was she putting her whole family in danger, who knows who she could have hit and killed by pulling a bonehead move like that.
She needs serious help!

She's really out of her mind. Why would she let her one year old son to steer the wheel? People like should not be allowed to drive.. Should also not be given a license for God's sake. I pity her son but I pity the mother more for not being a responsible mother to her child.
I agree that not only her son be taken but also her car. Honestly, I easily get mad when i hear things about irresponsible parents. How come they can't provide their child the love and care they needed. It's not that hard and yet there are lots of parents out there who is very irresponsible.

that is really insane... what kind of mother will do that to a one year old toddler and on top of that, her eight and five years old children also travelling in the car... it is so dangerous... she needs all her children to be taken away from her... she doesn't deserve to be a mum... i'm glad nothing happened to them... it is just so scary and i am so mad when i read something like this... take care and have a nice day...

I'm not sure if I would believe this or not... still thinking of how can a 1 year old drive? Maybe I would believe it if the 8 year old was the one on the steering wheel. Well, It is impossible to believe this happens.
Anyway, this is a lesson to all mothers who are drunkards. Irreponsible mother who drives drunk with little kids with her. She should learn her lesson.

oh thats very bad of her she should have not do so.i feel this is very bad being carried with a small child with her. so way way police should see that these kind of situations donot rise again and should take necessary actions against them.happy mylotting have fun.

Hi Tricia,
She needs to go to counceling about how to be a good mother to her kids!
She needs to have her car taken away from her, she needs AA meetings and she needs to give up custody temporarily to her mother or any relative willing to help her out.
First step is she needs to realize she put her children's lives at risk as well as her own this time!
I pray she gets the help she needs and that nothing happens to those kids!

I guess she believes that if she is pulled over, and they see the one-year-old toddler driving, that they will let him off easy. Now I know that some women think their kids are the most intelligent in the world, but unless the father of the children is a space alien, then no even a super baby should be behind the wheel. She did not put her other children behind the wheel, because if they would tell the officers that mother made them do it, and that would give them reason for taking the children and her license away.
I wonder what excuse she gave, that she was just holding her son up so he could see the lovely scenery and his hands just happened to touch the steering wheel?

okay so like. this is so hard to beleive... how could a 1 year old child keep the car on the road?. He/she has no concept of how to keep the car on the road how to keep the wheel ex...
i just see the car going to the side of the road and if she could press the gas and the brake why would she be letting the kid steer he doesnt know what to look for to wathc out for cars.and people...
No offence to you. i just find this hard to beleive...
