Who do you think is the funniest comedian you have ever seen or heard? This could be someone who is no longer even alive, or maybe someone who isn't a stand up comic, but plays a comedic role in movies often or TV. I think Chris Rock is hilarious, although I only watch him when he's edited. Don't really like all the cursing. What do you think?

I always watched Red Skelton but I think my favorite is Tim Conway! I always thought he was so funny. It is great to watch comedians, I will only watch clean acts, because laughter is good medicine. LOL Have a blessed day!

I have to give mention to George Carlin who just passed away today at the age of 71. He's always been one of my favorites and I recently watched his newest special on HBO and thought it was very good.
Among my other favorites are Robin Williams, Steve Martin, the late Richard Pryor, Larry the Cable Guy, Wanda Sachs and Ellen Degenerous. Those are just a few, there are many others I'm forgetting right now. Some of the comedians do use too much vulgar language but I guess it depends where and when they're performing.

I'll agree that Chris Rock is pretty good, but I've only ever seen him in movies.
Those comedians that resort to expletives are really setting a bad example for the next generation, and even Billy Connelly is the same. I can't watch him now because every second word is a swear word.

That is so true. Comedians are funnier if they don't use swear words all the time.

I like Adam Sandler movies. He has this kind of sarcastic kind of funny, and I think it's hilarious. Will Ferrell is becoming pretty funny to me too, though. I guess I like most of the actors/comedians on SNL or MadTV.

I do like Chris Rock in the Rush Hour movies, I don't like the cursing either and so have never watched any stand up routine that he may have. There are a couple that I could just about watch anytime they are on though...Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall.

I have two favorites and that is Robin williams who can alwyas raise my spirits when I am down as he did for the troops and Jim Carey. I have a few others as well though. I like basically anyone who is a comedian. Steve martin is hilarious in some of his roles he plays like Bringing Down The House with the Queen Latithia(excuse spelling)..and a few others Adam Sandler, just to name a few extras..gotta love the funny or they would be no money..you can only take so much romance, action and drama before you hit burnout. But funny never goes out of style.

I have several favorites. Pablo Francisco is known as the "preview man comedian". He impersonates the movie trailer guy and he does other good impressions of different people and cultures.
Another comedian I like is Russell Peters. He's mocks his own indian heritage and loves impersonating indian people (from india, not indian americans).
Another comedian is Louis C.K very funny but he often cusses in his jokes.
Another comedian is Margaret Cho. She tells it how it is!
You can check them all out on youtube.

George Carlin who just passed away, Dom Delouise, Robin Williams are amomg my favorites. I'm not for some of the latest ones, too much cursing. I grew up with Red Skelton Jackie Gleason. Sid Ceaser, Milton Berle. There were so many good comedians years ago compared to now a days, I have to add Johnny Carson to the mix, plus Carol Burnett, I could go on forever.

I absolutely love the Blue Collar Comedy Guys. I've seen all their videos with Larry the Cable guy, Jeff Foxworthy, and Bill Engvall. My husband got me into them (I had never heard of them). George Lopez is one of my favorites. I love his stand up as well as his tv show that is no longer on the air. I watch all the reruns and never get tired. I like Tim Allen and Will Smith was so funny back in his Fresh Prince days. I am also not a fan of cursing so I prefer to watch sitcoms unless the cussing is bleeped out on stand up.

Sorry for coming in sooo... late. However, I think, Charlie Chaplin was the greatest comedian of all time.

To me the funniest comedian is "Jerry Louis". He made so many movies together with Dean Martin. I very much enjoyed those movies, and just could not stop laughing throughout the movies. Ofcourse Bob Hope was an idol too !

george carlin was hillarious, as was mitch hedberg (watch some of his youtube videos, he is also sadly no longer alive)
I also like dave chappelle even though some of his stuff could be deemed offensive.
There's so many to list, but those are my top 3 I think.

I love the Blue Collar boys, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy but I use to think there was no one else like George Carlin, and since I heard on the news this morning that he has passed away, I am voting for Good old George.. He was great with adult humor, a bit too much for my tastes, but when hubby watched, I tried not to and would read a book instead, but I always belly laughed when he told a good one..
