I didn't have to tell mine, some mean kid at school told mine and at age 9 she came home asking questions and I told her the truth, she already knew I think, but I agree with you know she knows who buys the stuff so maybe she won't want as much, lol, yeah right!

i found my christmas presents hidden when i was about 8 and sure enough santa delivered those very same presents that year. I pushed that away to the back of my mind because i thought that if i didnt believe in santa then i wouldnt get any presents. 4 years after and i was 12 and my parents actually had to sit me down and tell me that santa wasnt real and i cried. They explained that i will still get presents but that they would be from my parents. I think alot of children would be like this and convince themselves that he exists so that they can reap the benifits.!! Maybe we are the ones being duped?? hehe

I didn't they found out themselves in the end and I think in a sense that is better when they did come to me and say there is no Santa we turned it into a case of yes there is and they said no there isn't so it all turned out for the best in the end

Since I have no children I dont have to worry about telling them there is no santa but my cats..they simply refuse to believe that there is no santa..I tell them every year and they simply smile and walk away;)+

I will try to not tell my kids, and try to "fool" them as long as possible. It is all about childhood. When there is no Santa anymore then they are not really kids anymore. Their childhood is done. They start to realize the money issue, start to wonder about expenses and the rest, so as I said the childhood is done.

My kids are 6 and 7 and they still don't know, at least if they do know they haven't let on, I'm not sure when to tell them, I'm feeling kind of guilty now for lying to them in the first place.

Well let me see, at the moment I do not have any children and someday when I have kids of my own I will tell them when there at the adult age so that they to can carry on it for there children too when they get married, mostly I would try on maitainig there childhood
