The sweet smell of a bargain.

Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy perfume - This is a really nice perfume, which surprised me as I did not think I would like it.

Today I had to go shopping, I hate shopping, in fact I hate Mondays full stop. Today was worse because I had the little angels off school and all four of them decided to come shopping with me. It was "can I have" all around each and every shop. I thought I was going to be bankrupt by the time I managed to get back home. But, before they managed to bankrupt me I went in a shop and saw a bottle of perfume on sale, it was Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy, it was a 30 ml bottle and it was going for £5.00,(apprx $10) It is normally about £20 and I thought "I am having it". I did not even know what it smelt like I just knew it was a bargain! So I eventually managed to get back home and decided to smell my perfume, and I was really surprised at how nice it was, if you like a sweet, fruity perfume then this is for you. It is really sweet and quite fruity too, and it is strong so I only need a tiny bit of it AND it lasts all day. That is a bonus because normally my perfume wears off after a few hours. Have you ever picked up a perfume bargain? What kind of perfume do you like smell wise? Do you always test before you buy or do you just take a chance that you will like it, like I do?

You were daring!!and yes I love perfume and smellies ..and if Father Christmas brings them for me im more than pleased!!I love perfume the thing is that when I have a full bottle I will use it every day ..it becomes a compulsion...but the perfumes that I like are the testers in the chemists..I cant resist having a squirt!but I often see freebies for perfume, but they are a source of great disappointment ..they are stuck to a postcard..like a scratch and sniff thing!!!to my mind they are rubbish!!..Its not a thing that I would maybe go out and buy for myself..but if I had seen that at that price well yes I like you would have bought it !!but maybe its a young persons perfume though...I like a subtle smell..sweet and not musky...and definately not too strong...I once got given a bottle of Poison..but though I used it all it was far too strong a scent for me.

I don't like perfume I am allergic to it or should I say I get sick with the smell of it. The only perfume or cologne I think I ever liked is called Denenes. It is a very nice smelling one and good for babies as well.

Since all perfumes do not smell the same on everyone ZI have to try them. different body chemistries make perfumes smell different on differnt people. I had one perfume I loved the smell of, but I could never wear it. After a little while is started to smell bad. just didn't smell right on me. there a few I have that Ilove to wear but only wear them on occasion lol.My favorite one is Kenneth Cole we got that on sale for $3 normally 50, and the other one i like a lot is by Givinchy called Organza.

That Organza is really popular on ebay, or it was. I got my hands on a batch of that once and it sold really fast.

What a deal! Good for you. No, I don't always test, not in situations like that. If I don't like the fragrance, but the price is right, then I could either save it until I do fall in love with the fragrance or give it away at holiday time! Either way, I win!

Ha ha yes either way you would win.

That is a bargain! Lucky you liked the smell of it too. I only buy perfume usually that I know the smell of or sometimes I might try something new, but I will test it frist before I buy it. I have a few perfumes: Curious (Brittany Spears perfume), Happiness (Sarah Jessica Parker) and i have a Avon perfume that I really like too. My best bargain for perfume was the Avon one that I recently got for free as a bonus for selling Avon products it is valued at $59.95 and I like the smell so that was a great free bargain for me, lol.

Free gifts are definately the best, they always smell so much nicer. A bit like food, a meal that is cooked for me by someone else always tastes so much better.

I always test fragrances out first because strong ones give me a headache. I like light, floral and citrus scents. I hope you like what you brought home! It's not a bargain if you hate it!

Funny most of the scents I like to buy are actually men's cologne's...LOL. One, they tend to be way cheaper than women's perfumes, and two I like the spicier scents of men's colognes..in the past I've gotten Lagerfeld's Photo (appropriate since I'm a photographer..hehe), Aramis, Dior's Farenheit, I also like essential oils like patchouli, sandlewood. For women's perfumes there's really only one I like and that's Opium I like it when you can go into stores and they have those little samples for free...used to stock up on them, and had a nice free collection of perfumes or colognes...

That's great news about the bargain and even better news that it smells good too! Personally, I have never gotten my favourite perfume on sale and I don't really wear other perfumes besides Vanilla Musk by Coty. It obviously smells like Vanilla. Funny thing is, alot of people smell it and say it smells so good yet they can never guess what the smell is! When I tell them vanilla they seem shocked. Before I found my preferred perfume I would always test before I buy, there are so many scents that just didn't so it for me so I honestly, even with a bargain won't pick up a bottle of perfume without testing for the scent.

I love Shalimar and have used it for 30 years.. I have tried others and most of them make my head hurt or make me feel nauseous.. But Shalimar has never turned on me and the greatest bargain of all on perfume was the $1 bottle of Shalimar that I found at the flea market last week.. Now I have 3 bottles of it and just use a touch of it each day, so I will not run out for awhile..

I have to try it before I buy it! I used to only buy sprays from Bath & Body Works or Victoria's Secret, but a couple of years ago I decided I wanted one or two actual perfumes to wear. I go to stores like Sephora and Ulta, where they let you try the fragrances, so I can decide what I like. Then, if they are not a good price there, I can look around for a better deal. I picked Ralph Lauren Cool first, as it was a nice summery scent. Then a few months later, I wanted something a little more for going out at night, like if I theoretically had a date (hahaha), and I tried out Provocative Woman, as I had liked it in a magazine sample. So those are the two perfumes I have. They never really go on sale, but I try to make sure I buy a gift set, or get a gift with purchase. A little goes a long way with those, so I haven't had to buy replacements yet. I will definitely look for a bargain when I replace them.

Its a good thing for the people who shop very much. Bargaining should be done in a healthy way to get the right piece for right item. Start with the least price you could expect for that Item you want to buy. Your price must be very less than the price offered by the shop keeper. Then slowly increase your price in very small amounts. Develop the trust in shop keeper that you really want to buy that item. Eventually you will get the Item at a best price satisfied by you and the shop keeper. Bargaining always helps in this things.

I love Guerlaines Shalimar and La Reine something I can never remember the last part and one called Lilacs and once I did get to buy La Reine something for twenty dollars verus the usual forty five and I really loved it as its lasting and sweet and violety smelling. I also love Lilacs as its not as expensive as a lot of others yet smells like fresh lilacs.

I love bargains even if I'm not really an avid shopper. I've gotten to know the places in Port of Spain where you can get things at good prices and I'm always happy to take some money and go looking for something economical to buy. Then I remember what I buy and go looking for the same things again. I guess one day I'll get everything downpat and stop looking, just go and buy all the good stuff. They don't reduce the price of perfumes that way in Trinidad. I've never seen it happen with anything. Over here it would have to be very old to get to that price reduction. I'm glad you found your bargain.

Just lately I have been very lucky and have found loads of bargains. It has all been on things that I have been intending to buy too, for the house so that is even better.
