I pretty much listen to music everyday. How much really varies. I have my ipod I listen to at times, but a lot of times I just pull up my i-tunes library and pick a song and a lot of times I just completely space out. I guess it's because music is a part of who I am, and at these times it completely relaxes me, which isn't easy for me to do. Actually, I even listen to music while I am here on mylot sometimes. It actually helps me focus.

I love listening to music. It's a good break from the constant bad news on television. I enjoy listening to dance music when I exercise as it gives me more energy and motivates me to do more. At night I love listening to easy jazz which puts me in a calm mellow mood and helps me fall asleep. Enjoy your Ipod!

On days that I work (Monday through Friday), I pretty much listen to music all day long! I don't know what I'd do without it. It's amazing the effects music has on us, isn't it? I loved reading the description of your discussion because I never thought of listening to motivational songs in the morning to get me going for the day. Of course, I've always loved upbeat songs like the ones you mentioned. I listen to music in the car on the way to work, and the radio is on my entire day at work. I work at a desk at a computer, so my radio can go all day long. I listen to it here and there, but sometimes get sick of hearing the same songs over and over again! I don't usually have CDs with my radio at work because I leave them in my car rather than bringing them inside. I listen to the same variety radio station all day at work because I share an inner office with my coworker who puts hers on the same station. It's kind of funny because when we have both radios going at once, it's like surround sound! (LOL) I really should start doing what you do, that is, adjusting the music I listen to to the time of day. Motivational songs should be in the morning and possibly all day since I love them so much! Calm, soothing music should be in the afternoon when things get hectic, although not too soothing as to make one fall asleep right after lunch! (LOL) I've done that a few times - oops! Music is an essential to life, in my opinion. Like I said before, I don't know what life would be like without it. Great discussion!

Yes, I listen to music daily. I have to, music is pumping threw my veins. Depending on what mood I'm in, my music changes hour to hour. I love all types. I love heavy metal when I need to get my aggression out. Yelling the lyrics of Rage Against Machine or Slayer when I'm frustrated feels so good. Or when I'm in a mellow mood I will listen to something like Carrie Underwood or the Dixie Chicks. I love listening to Staind and Sublime any time... I feel music is very therapeutic.

I listen to music a lot. I'm even getting into making my own music. Playing with music/audio is probably the future I would want, but my mom's pressuring me to get the business, because of the widespread myth that non-business related jobs don't pay a lot.
I have music on my computer, connected to two nice speakers and a subwoofer. Then I have my Creative Zen loaded with almost 4 gigs of music. I don't use my phone a lot, because of the quality, but music's becoming a big part of my life
