I come from an impoverished nation, where people ride carabaos to work and get water from a well - NOT. anyways, some westerners think that all third world nations are disgusting places to live in. this notion comes from the way these countries are portrayed in the media, ignorance too may be another cause. what do you think of these nations? would you ever visit them?

I come from Indonesia, and people consider Indonesia as third world country as well. however, I never feel that I'm lower than those who live in -people called- first world country. I work in an International NGO that supply water for the poor. I work together with foreigners, and we can work together. No one of us feel we are better than the others. so, please. don't ever think that you are lower than other people, be optimistic. what other people can do, surely we can do it too.

don't get me wrong, i drive 2 cars, eat out a lot, have a ton of gadgets and live a comfortable life where i'm at. it doesn't bother me at all that others look down on my country. it just amuses me that some people don't know a thing about my home. i'd really like to hear from first world dwellers.
