Lies, lies, lies.

I recently read an article on the freakonomics blog on nytimes.com about why people lie. People lie all the time. Most of them are "white lies" or "social lies" that are used just to make relationships easier, but sometimes you lie to increase your reputation, like saying you read a certain book or like a certain band when you don't. Other times you lie to get out of trouble. Parents lie to kids all the time to prevent having to explain complicated things, or to continue traditions like Santa and the tooth fairy. People lie about height, weight, age, etc. Some people lie for no real reason, others lie compulsively. What was the last big lie you told? What do you lie about the most? I frequently get asked if my brother and I are twins, so it's easier to just agree. I also tell crazy lies about my roommate, which is an inside joke of ours.

some people lie as a joke.. the last lie i told was when I was asked if my cousin and I were sisters by some guys at a hotel.. we totally said yes.. that happened yesterday anyways... I would not categorizwe it as a lie but i guess it really was
