I am not sure if this discusse will be welcome from some members, but I must say what I am feeling about my country, and want to clear some things that other dont know.
My love to my country and my people force me to start this discussion, why? I dont know, I will tell you here what you wana know about my country and about what happening there from my opinion side.
First of all I am here dont blame any one about what happen, becouse what happened are writtin in our future, and it is all in God well.
I will tell you somthing about how we was befor war and how we are now.
Befor war we ware living as brothers muslims for both team (sonna and sheia) with our brothers the christians, for me I have and still have 5 friens christians we have a relationship as brothers and the same for the two muslims teams we have not ever have any discussion about our religion we are friends as brothers help each other and give each other when some one need somthing.
Yes we was suffering alot under Saddam's role but what happen made us suffer more becouse we are apart now every one is in some country even in the one family it is a part.
What really happen and made it worse the gangs that come from outside and do a horrible things in the name of Islam and the Islam are free from them, Islam dont allowed to kill people nither allow for some one to kill himself to kill another people, I dont want to start a discusse in that becouse I have blande bleaving in that.
These gagns make alot of trouble they kill from the two muslim teams they kill christian the kill what ever they can of poeple and for who read the news of Iraq know that the killing didnt stop for 5 years and still continuing.
What I am asking for any who have an answer, when will the blood rever stop, when the killing will stop? all Iraqian people are sick of that and wana live in peac.
I hope I am dont talk too much but it is a discusse I have to start it for the sake of lemures the killed daily in my beeling country Iraq.
Have a nice day for you all and god bless you.

I know this is a very confusing conflict, I do not claim to understand what is going on, I too would like to see the people of Iraq have peace in their lives as every person on the earth should have..we in the western world see proplr of that country asking for help but then others condeming the help they get, it is very hard for prople in a peaceful country stand by and see people in other countries being down trodden, if we in the western world stood back and did nothing it would be seen as sweeping peoples pain under the carpet, but when they try and help they get blamed for interfering, as I said every single person should be able to live in peace and have a say who they want to lead their country, What can the world do, what do the majority of the Iraq people want...I wish the people of your country peace in the near future but I just wish someone would come up with the answer...Peace to you all my friend...

I definitely think that what is going on in Iraq needs to stop and there should really be peace, but I can't answer you as for when it will stop. The truth is nobody knows but the people causing it, or perhaps the people powerful enough to stop it. I know plenty of people that are prejudice and just don't care but believe me I am not one of them. And I think it is good that you started this discussion, because far too many people start discussions about everything else, and it is rare for people to face the reality of the terrible things that have been going on lately.

Don't worry bout the delay. I've been kind of preoccupied with another forum that I will be paid $5 on Monday and every monday after that if i stay active so that and the fact that it is new and growing is nice. The fact that it is still small, under 3000 members, means that it is easier to get to know the people who are active on there. So sorry if I have been kind of alienating myLot lately hehe. I am still here just not as much.

Yes, I can understand that you people were better off under Saddam, no matter how dictator he was. He was after all one of your own, your own national leader. He understood you inside out. What you have now is a coalition of foreign forces who are forcefully trying to make you accept something which you don’t want to accept. They know nothing about your country, your beliefs, your likings, your heritage. Naturally they are faltering at every step and the more frustrated they become, the more brutal they grow. I also know that even being a Muslim country, Iraq was quite secular in its views.

alkurishy,
I do hear you and I wish only peace for your Country. I do have a question though.
When you refer to "the gangs" that have been that came from outside, outside of where?
My understanding of what has been going on in your country is that there has always been a fight for power from the different tribes that make up the Muslim countries. One tribe feeling that they are the ones to be the leaders. I know that this is part of your Country's history, as it is for all Countries that are fighting for power.
I just see that history does repeat itself when it comes for that "need for greed". They can be known as tribes, gangs, and other word that means a "group of". The gangs that you refer to just seem to have become obsessed with it. It only takes one person to twist the words of a Koran, bible, or even in our own Country, the Constitution.
I do wish and hope that one day your Country will know the peace of brotherhood once again.

American friends! Ask your president to stop this war and pull out all troops out of Iraq. Dont you remember what happend in vietnam? Do you want another vietnam? Its all started in the name of WMD(weapons of mass destruction). Instead this US sponsored war has done beyond mass destruction. A peaceful country was torned. Millions killed, mutilated, replaced. Economic damage is uncalculable. Every american is answerable to this crime.

Over the years I have met a few people from Iraq. Before I met my husband (an American) I was seeing an Irqui Kurd who got out during the Iraq Iran war. I don't beliee most of what I hear on the news, and I know that terrible things must be happening in your country.
My husband fought in the Viet Nam war, and he eels that Iraq is that dirty war all over again, this generation's Viet Nam.

This is such a tough subject for many of us here but I'm really glad you started it since it's from a different and in fact the most important perspective. I know I speak for millions of other Americans, no matter what "side" we may be on as far as this was is concerned, when I say I wish more than anything that the blood would stop immediately. I'm trying to say that while I know we have differing opinions on what should be done and when I don't think there's any decent American who wants anyone else to die or be hurt by this. I hope you know we in America do care about the Iraqi people. Bless you all!

Hi my dear friend, I know that most of American people are don't like this war and they just want this killing to stop, I have a lot of American friends and I love them so much and admire them, I really don't hate anybody, but I hate the wrong things when it done in bad way.
God bless you and all the good American people, I know they are have a good heart and don't like to be a reason of killing people in any way, and I understand the difference between your government thoughts and the American people thoughts.
Thank you for your response and have a nice day.

Hello dear alkurishy. I have read what you narrated in the discussion. I have to say that I am really very sorry and sad for the unpleasant situation that you are having now caused by the war. Iraq is really suffering a lot ever since the war. People don't live in peace because of the problems from all aspects. When seeing your country so badly damaged and economy so serious ruined, my heart is weeping because I always wish your country to be a rich and peaceful one, with people enjoying their daily life and work. I hope that Iraq will try its best to recover its economy and regain its peace in a possible short time. All the best wishes to you and your country.

My sympathy has always been for the good people of Iraq, since before this awful war began. I believe the war has encoured more terrorism that there was before it started. Now there seems no way to stop the fighting and killing in Iraq.
I wish there could be peace. The situation in Iraq is unacceptable. I hope there can be a solution to it soon.

I don't know, I just don't know.
There has always been war, and there will always be war. It won't be over until it's over.
I am in the US and sometimes I really wish we would pull out of every country out there and come home and take care of our own.
Many say it's a war over oil, others say it's a war over freedom and the rights of other people, others say it's a war over religion. I just don't know.
I have no pity for the leaders, I feel for the everyday citizens that try to go about thier daily lives of living, laughing, and enjoying life.
Sometimes I sit on my front steps and wonder how I would feel if I looked out over the horizon and saw bomber planes, heard bombs dropping, seeing the country side reduced to rubble. I cannot even begin to imagine the emotions that would stir in me.
Probably anger, fear and hate. At my leaders and other countries as well.
It's a sad world we're living in.
Blessings on you and yours.

I totally agree with you. Our government is entirely to blame. But the other problem is that some of the citizens are just as much responsible. For example, it was Bush who started all this garbage, and yet he was re-elected into office. By whom? The American people, that's who. I am not saying that all Americans are bad, if I did that I would be trashing myself. And there are obviously a lot of good ones, but the trouble is that there are still far too many intoolerant Americans and pro-war ones and so the politicians who start all this junk get to hold their position in office. Hopefully with a new president will come positive changes. We shall see.

All what happening in my country and Afganistan and all the other country who have a problem, make the people there to hate USA, the way ur leaders control the world are make people more hated to USA not people of USA I mean to be hate but the leaders who are forget the USA inside peoblems and always go outside to make what they want.
For me I dont hate any maricans people becouse there are a good ones between them like you who hate the wars, we all want to live in peace and always I have an old saying it is a headline for me the say mean (Dont give your enemy the stone or the reason to hit you by it).
Thank you so much for your responsem and God bless you all, have a nice day.

i know you people are facing a lot of problems in iraq.earlier in saddams rule also,in iraq there are plenty of holy places like ramallah & othrs and it was corrupted and people making lot of sins such as not following islamic rules .the problem shiyas and sunnis were there earlier too in sadams rule.bcoz sadam used to support one group and other group used to be silent bcoz they cannot defend sadam.and now sadam is no more groups are clashing .when india was under british rule they followed a policy called divide and rule and the same policy applied to you people bcoz if two groups fight among themselfs they cannot unite together and fight for a cause.islam do support killing of people but only for holy cause .so my suggestion is stick together and sought out your problems
