How Do I check my Page Rank and how can I increase my Page Rank?

Was hoping you'd help me figure this one out. How do I check what my page rank is? And how can I increase my page rank or have one at all?
At the moment, seems like I have no page rank as just got declined by one of those paid to post sites:)

As far as I know, you need to apply link exchanges to other sites so that they will link you back. The more link backs you'll get the more you'll get a chance to have a PR of your blog. Good luck to your site. Try joining http://technorati.com it increase your traffic site also.

Hi,
The best way to get higher PR is to get backlinks from high PR sites. The more high PR sites link your blog, your blog's PR will be increased.
Besides, in order to get high PR, you would need to have a lot of traffic to your blog. The more traffic(visitors), the more popular your blog will be and the higher the PR.

just search for page rank tools or 'check page rank' then u vil get diff websites where u can put the url. then check it and add to ur blog. page rank again has some requirements for u to be in tht ranking

Thanks for your response. Think I'd tried that with one I found on someone's blog and got no ranking LOL:)
So how does one increase their ranking?
