I had kind of a surprise yesterday. Around 11 a.m. my doorbell rang and I had a package delivery from my friend upstate. She works in a gourmet/organic shop and every once in awhile she sends me a "goodies" package...Organic honey, organic pasta, and on and on. Well, one of the things she sent me was a gigantic boxful of .....CHOCOLATES...I mean really luscious, decadent, sinfully rich, gourmet chocolate candies. I have to admit, I haven't had any chocolates in ages...at least not this good. So I had promised myself as a dessert treat last night, to have JUST ONE. Uh, yeah, sure.I don't know maybe because I haven't had any chocolate candies in such a long but I'm pigging out here and I know I'm going to pay the price. So have any of you done this? Say there's a favorite food or goodie you haven't had in a long, long time...do you go overboard and completely pig out? Help!

Hehehe, I ate a whole cheesecake by myself once. Well, not all at once, it took me two days. Well, one day actually, because I ate the first half at night and the second half the next morning for breakfast. I gave up making that kind of stuff while I'm living alone because I will eat it all, and in a very short period of time!

I'm on my way to rescue you from those sinful chocolates, Pye. From eating them all by yourself, that is.

Why thank you, latoyahall. I very well couldn't let my good friend Pye eat all those lovely chocolates all by herself, now could I? After all, she said herself that it was one food she can't feed her kitties.

Chocolate is the one this I don't limit myself on. If I want it I'll have it... hips be damned. I'll stop myself on things like cookies and force myself to do portion control with everything but chocolate? No, some things are just too good to say no to. And besides, I love myself way too much to deny me something so perfect, lol. So have some guilt free fun and enjoy each delicious bite!

Well what other food do you indulge on? I gave chocolate as an example, but I'm sure there's something you might go bananas over every once in awhile, right?

Right now I'm having this thing about blueberries. Salads would probably be it for me most of the time. Yeah, I know, not exciting. LOL

Sometimes I have a splurge on things where I just cannot help myself and have to eat loads but I have to be careful. If I eat too much of something it sometimes makes me ill!
I have a box of organic chocs in the fridge, they were bought for me two weeks ago for my birthday, so far they have not been touched! Not sure how much longer they will stay untouched for now though!

As much as I would have loved to have eaten the whole box of chocolates, I actually have to pace myself with sweets cause of my blood sugar (low) problem

I usually pig out on cake with really good frosting. I know that I should only have a small piece but it's so good I can't help it and I eat ALOT. I never regret it though. I don't do it that often and I deserve to enjoy myself when I can. As long as it's only occasionally, I say don't feel bad. Enjoy yourself!

I'm bad with potato crisps! I buy a big bag, then tell myself I'll just pour a few into a small bowl. But when I've finished them, I go and fill up the bowl again ... and again ... and again and again and again until the big bag is empty. Shocking, I know. Really should just buy the small bags ...

I used to. Wasn't there a potato commercial once that told the audience they bet we couldn't eat just one? Maybe it was Pringles or something. Before I cut sweets from my list of OK things to buy (to save money), if I had anything sweet it was like waving a red flag before a bull. Fortunately, I've learned a little self-control. And I mean that, little.

I'll help you stop pye. Just send the chocolates my way!
Yes, I have done this before. I bought a bag of Hershey's Kisses several months ago. Once I opened the bag I would unwrap one, eat it, and go for another. Before I knew it I was almost halfway through the bag! I knew I had to stop at that point, no matter how good they tasted. So I ate 2 or 3 more LOL and wrapped up the package. An hour or so passed and I ate a few more. What can I say, I had to get the craving out of my system, and what better way to do that then to eat some more of them? I haven't bought any since because as you can see I have no self control, so instead I just keep them out of the house.

Oh, it's great to receive a "goodies" package. I eat chocolate whenever I want to eat some, so I don't eat a lot of chocolate usually. But sometimes, especially in winter, when I feel I am not myself;), I eat a lot of chocolate. I don't care much about it, becaues my wieght is quite stable and I don't believe that eating one day even a lot of chocolate can change it LOL.
I don't like sweets, however chocolate is more tasty than other sweets and I like to eat it from time to time. I don't think you need help - just eat all of this yummy chocolates and enjoy, because it is such a lovely activity to eat them LOL.
Cheerio, jazgottt.

I have heard something about it. I generally enjoy eating and I have never been on diet, so I don't eat too much because I am never very hungry;). I love warm, cooked meals like fish finger with rice and veggies, and I can eat such meals all day long, not only as a dinner, also as a breakfast and as a supper. I think that I am so nourished, that I don't think about sweets:).
But I eat chocolate in winter, when my mood is a little worse than usual (usual I am always smiled and in good mood). It contains magnesium and lecithin, as far as I am concerned, so it has some healthy elements inside. And I like chocolate with nuts, and nuts of course are also healthy, so why don't eat it hehe. I will try to stop eating chocolate if I would notice that I eat chocolate every day.
So it's quite healthy, it's delicious and it improves mood, so there are at least 3 reasons to eat some chocolate:). And if you worry about your weight, you can run to a store to buy a chocolate, the more chocolate you want to eat, the longer way to a store should be choosen to run;).
bye, jazgottt.

Oh I love the chocolate covered nut kinds...this boxful has quite a lot of them...hey, that's not a bad idea...to get exercise to compensate for the added calories to run to a store and get more chocolate...thankfully I'm thin, so I can get away with indulgences...heehee
