Does anyone else guniea pig go mad at the sound of a carrier bag? Mine do! I think its because its usually got some nice treat in it for them like greens and carrots! So now, whenever they hear a bag, they go mentally!!!- Little nutters!!! lol!!

Yep! All of my guinea pigs seemed to immediately associate plastic bags with veggies. Any plastic bag you walk by them with, they wheek at it. And it doesn't take them long at all to make this association. I foster guinea pigs from shelters and many have never even tasted veggies before I get them. But within a week they know their yummy veggies come from plastic bags.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing. My pet sometimes does it and sometimes he REALLY goes nuts trying to make sure I get the message to bring him a treat. It's easy enough to break him of this though. Just ignore him and he will learn that all the sqweeking in the world will not work. Now he seldoms sqweeks whenever I am in the kitchen and I handle a bag of lettuce.

Our current guinea pig doesn't do this, but our previous guinea pig certainly did! She would wheek so loudly!

No but as soon as I open the back door my guniea pigs start squeaking really loudly as they know thta i wil give them some greens.
I have been away on holiday and our neighbour has been feeding them for us and on returning they have been very quite, probably as the house and garden has been very quite. They are now getting noisy again which is good as I love it when I step out hte back door and they come to the front of the cage to talk to me, when i open the cage door they almost jump out
