Indian president, Mrs. Pratibha Patil, is a woman. We all know Mrs. Indira Gandhi was the prime minister of India for quite a long time. Aren't these very inspiring for our women? In the Vedic era, Indian women had equal status in the society with men. However, due to several socio-economic reasons, the freedom of Indian women were gradually curtailed. Since the 60's of the 20th century, Indian women again started re-establishing them. And today it is a steadily on-going phenomenon. Our women are now working in almost all fields, which were earlier managed by men only. Participation of women in all walks of life is changing the social scenario. India is progressing very fast. Let us come out of all the prejudices and rotten ideas about women's capabilities.

Nurturer of love, synthesizer of charm woman live up to the modles of feminity. she does not has a role to play, but roles being at home as of a caretaker of the new born, a friend to the partner , homeholder to the home, a nurse to the sick and old ... She never attempts to cast away or deny her these responsibilities. In the preasent era she showcases as a new age working woman. Still her burden of task do not leverage her off the old roles. She tries very well to handle the dual sphere at home and at her work place. The most agnozing fact is that she lacks the support still after ages of ushering and improving the lives of those around her, selflessly. So what is the way out for her, the most important question in front of us, now. Does she need to give up her selfless image?

Obviously no. Who says so? What is the real connotation of the usage "selfless image"? I do not think that she needs to go to that extent. She should take care of herself first, then think about others. That's the reason,I appreciate working girls. However, many of them are spending lavishly what they are earning, especially in this era of IT boom. Then comes their dressing, many wear dresses which are against Indian social tradition. What do you say on this?
