I'm just in a bad mood ...

I don't know why I don't know how I'm just in a bad mood. Have you ever felt that way? I have no real reason to be in a bad mood, but I have been for at least a week now. Yesterday I couldn't get the can opener to work I was so mad, I threw the can I was trying to open (good thing my daughter wasn't home to see me) across the room, walked away and ordered a pizza.
No its not that "time of month" I'm just mad! Like I said I don't know at what. I am wondering has any one else felt this way? What did you do to fix it? Vacation time is not an option right now and honestly I don't think thats what I need right now. Work is going fine. I am finally busy. My daughter comes home tonight after a week long vactaion with grandma. (thats not why I'm mad either it was a nice break) My marrigae is fine. My bills are paid. So what do I have to complain about? I don't have any reason to be mad - I just am.
Please any advice on what to do to make myself feel better would be apperciated! Thank in advance!

Think about it like this the feeling will pass. It's just one of those day, week that a person can have sometimes but the feeling will pass. So keep your head up no matter how ill that you may feel sometimes. Have a good one.

I think that all of us can say that we get in a bad mood every now and then for no reason. You body may be lacking a nutrient that it needs. Sometimes, I wake up and I'm just not in the mood to deal with anyone, but I try listening to music or call up a friend to get myself out of it. When I am in a bad mood I know that I can always count on my best friend to get me out of it. We hang out and laugh at stupid little things and then I forget about the bad mood altogether.

it could be a lack of magnesium or potassium..maybe both...and a few others. Try taking a dieting vitamin.

Hey, no worries. May be it's just a phase really. I get irritable at times too and there's no reason actually. It eventually passes. It could be a lot of things. I suggest that you dont ponder on it anymore or you'll just get in a more bad mood. Hahahaha!
cheer up. You'll be fine:)

Many, many, many times I either wake up or go through a day with bad or unpleasant moods I have no reason for.
I must say, though, that if I put my mind to it I can and do change my bad mood.
I go somewhere and see or do something I like or sing a song or talk to someone cheerfully and become just as cheerful.
You can change your moods. It just takes the effort.

I sometimes feel this way too, for no reason - and I think it's the weather. If it's been rainy and overcast for a couple of days and I can't see the sun, I start feeling miserable - and the wind has a bad effect on me, too. I think it's often hormones as well, and it's a good idea to just stop and count our blessings and try to cheer ourselves up! Sometimes I find myself snapping at my poor husband, too - and he hasn't done anything to deserve it!

It really could be the weather. It has been really crappy here the past week or two. I don't think its hormones but I guess it could be. I do agree with stopping to count blessings I do that all the time. My daughter is home now and bad mood or not she makes me laugh and just looking at her makes me smile. I am VERY lucky to have her.

i also feel like that sometimes... even though everything is fine, i'm still in a bad mood and short-tempered... i think it is because i just feel tired and stressed from my work and it affects my mood... what i do when i feel like that is i watch TV, surf the net, go out for a walk or window shopping or just chat with my friends... if nothing works, then i will go to sleep... usually i feel much better after that... take care and have a nice day...

I am lucky enough to have an easy job that doesn't get too stressful. I actually prefer the hectic busy day to the easy going day and lately things have been pretty easy going. I am feeling a little better hopefully I will continue to feel better. I hate feeling that crappy!

As I said in the post its not that "time of month". I'm only 24 so its not metopause or any thing. I'm not tired I actually had a lot of sleep because my daughter wasn't home to wake me up in the early morning. She is home now and bad mood or not she makes me laugh (hard).

I've had days like that, but not for as long as a week. Sometimes underlying anxiety and depression are the reason for bad moods that don't seem to have any cause. If you don't believe that this isn't it, then maybe you need to add a little fun to your life. I try to get out alone or get together with my girlfriends from time to time. I also watch as much comedy as possible and I try to stay away from the very bad news. I also try to schedule some exercise on a daily basis. In other words anything that can raise my endorphin level usually gets me out of a bad mood.

I am so not an excersie person but maybe I should become one. I have taken time alone a lot the past week because my daughter was out of town. That was a nice break, and I knew she was having a great time with grandma. Like I said I don't really have any thing to be depressed about. Every thing is going good right now. Its all those little things like the can opener not working! Or stubbing my toe! Saturday was the worst day it was like NOTHING could go right. I am feeling a little better today - the sun is finally shining!

It is not true that there is no reason. There must be something that only your inner mind is impressed with. You are remembering some past things or seen something effective for your inner mind only.

Thank you - it could be a few things. The weather has been really crappy and I have been dieting so the foods in my life have changed a lot. Sleep has been good my daughter was out of town so no waking up early! I'm feeling better today but we will see what happens by the end of the day.

I know! That happened to me a few times before. It's like there's just no reason, but i'm mad like crazy. Music really helps, or at least, I find it to help me. Like loud crazy music that you can dance to, or just move your body to if you don't want to or can't dance. Eating watermelon also helps me so if you have it on hand - eat your favorite fruit! Hope I helped, and even if i didn't, be happy!

I totally agree with you! I get that way every now and again. I just chalk it up to hormones!

hihi ,i am called moody too because i often get grumpy for no reason.. it might have several reasons.. maybe it's the summer heat, maybe we are hypersensitive persons or just have a certain amount of stress in our lifes...
and for some believers, the planets influence our lifes also... some refuse the idea..but for some things we don't have explanations so it could be true

I get like that quite often actually. Then of course I always end up feeling bad because I tend to take it out on whoever happens to be around. Usually my husband or kids. I have found that if I just go sit quietly in my room or outside with no one around and just sit...that seems to help calm my nerves alot.

Hi There,
This is not an abnormal thing. It happens to me as well. In fact, it used to happen to me quite often and it started to really effect me. I did learn something however. The sun actually acts as a mood enhancer. When I felt (and feel) like this I go for a walk out in the sunshine. I don't know why but it always works for me. Of course if it is a cloudy day I have not yet found a way to lift my mood because if I go for a walk on a cloudy day it does not help at all.
cheers,
