Why, why to murder ?

It is very scary lilaclady and am very interested in the reasoning for this man to do what he did! If there is a reason! Even the one closer to home where the man was stabbed and burnt "on a mattress" but seems more of a "gangland" type killing. As I say a lot is that the justice system needs to get a lot tougher with those caught of such crimes. I am waiting on grandchildren one day, but sometimes not so sure whether I wish little ones to be bought into such a bad world as it is today! May sound selfish I my part but it is how I feel.

I know what you are saying lilaclady, the world seems to have gone crazy. In this case of the grandfather killing his wife and 2 grandchildren, and also attacking his daughter who is now seriously ill in hospital, we were all asking - why did he do this? I heard on the news this morning that this man was suffering from Alzheimer's, so I guess he wasn't in full control of his faculties, but it is an explanation. It's so sad.

Yes I have to agree with you, life is really scary now, nobody cares about it and will kill for no good reason at all.

I can't help thinking that many people have just plain have gotten de-sensitized to any kind of violence, including murder since so much violence is in movies and people are exposed to violence everyday just by turning on the news every night

Hello lilaclady, I also think the same. What has happened to our world where killings, raping and all sort crimes are abundant? Two days ago, I read a news where a doting father (as the family put it) poisoned his two kids - a one year old girl and a four year old boy before he hanged himself. He was depressed due to his marital problem and had been living separately with his wife for the past 8 months. He couldn't take it. Yes, I know that but why need to kill the young kids? When you look at those young kids or babies, you don't even have the heart to hurt them or cause them a pain.

Hello..you are right what's going on with this society is horrible.I used to hate those heartless murderers.One day i was shame about this hating thing..I don't know whether I'm right or wrong..i think every murderer or a rapist may have a wound in there life or they might have some kind of sickness,after reading a science journal.For a moment I thought that who am i to judge them and to hate them?Every human has a bright side.I am sure when the time comes they will understand their sins and will suffer for their guilt,and then i stopped hating.Every thing going on with this society is wrong we all have a part of these crimes i think..

Yes Lilac it is very scary how things are going and we know it is not going to get any better also all the Stabbing that is going on it is terrible I really don't know what is happening or going on in Peoples Minds it is awful

I'm like you lilac, I just don't understand what goes on in the world today. People hurting and killing others even their family. It is a sad time that these things are happening now. They say the end of times will be like this. I just wonder sometimes about it all. I pray for everyone and wish the people would just get along everywhere. It's not making things any better to hurt someone else. when you can just walk away from the situation.

Some of the people now, take their problems seriously. All the killings , murdering are part of stress. If they can think first before doing a move this could be avoided. As the lives of the people became fast paced so as the crime. I hope people start thinking and doing things smoothly when it comes to problems. I hope no one get murdered.

It is true, murders back then were remembered clearly. Now there are that many of them it is just awful. I get sick of listening to it on the news sometimes, it just upsets me so much. Life is worth nothing to some people, and they take it away from people without a thought to them or their loved ones. I get so scared of it all at times and I am quite happy to stay at home, hopefully out of the way, when I do go out I worry about having to many valuables in my bag just in case someone wants it, they can have it if they leave me with my life. It is very very scary.

lilaclady I think that it just seems more because the press plays up these things more than they use to, there have always been evil people doing evil things but these days the press really hangs onto all the bad news to the point we hear little but the stuff about murders and rapes and such.In all probablity'it is no worse than its ever been, its just being put out with more vehemance than ever before. The world is no more scary than its ever been really. we just do not hear about the good in our lives, only about the evil.

The world has leant in the direction of violence for a long time now. People have forgotten about God and religion which is where all the peace comes from and headed into materialism which leads to selfishness and consequently violence. Murder today is a reflection of how people regard life which, it appears, no longer has much value. Its me or them, as they say.

I don't think there are more murders now.It's just because we can know the murders all over the world now,but we couldn't ten tears ago.And there are too many diffrent people all around the earth.Maybe there are evils ,but I think most of the people are kind.Don't you think so?

People have become dulled to the violence and all the other things connected. We see so much of it in the news and on TV, that we no longer see it as a big deal. And therefore it's far easier for people to commit a violent crime. Murder included. Plus, I think that a small fraction of those murders wouldnt becommited if the perps hadnt seen something similar on tv and seen how the csi there found out who was the killer. we havemore intelligent criminals nowadays...

Today, murder is not right, and people know that, but is seems like SOME people just do not care. I know why people kill, I understand why, but I do not ever condone it. Religious or not, people should never kill another human being. Killing certain animals to eat is fine, it is survival, but a man killing another man is not right because the man is the same as you or me. We are all human. Golden rule people: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". People who murder other people have there reasons, but it does not always make them right. Now, if you have killed someone in defense because they were going to kill you, then that is another story, in that case it was self-defense, but to kill just for the sake is killing is not right.

The world is changing... and human society is also changing but not for the best but for the worst... gone are the days when we can sleep even without locking our doors... or when we can take a stroll even in the middle of the night... there are a lot of factors why these things are happening... and it would take strong will and a lot of discipline for society to mend its ways...

Its a pretty scarry mess? Whats it all coming to people are getting short sentences for murder these days I belive in Hanging when that is the deterant the youngsters will think twice about killing for a laugh?

your right.. i guess it is because the society is so "advance" already that people will be more interested in knowing how high is the shares today or when will their bonus come. i guess it is a way of if i am not included in the news and am not affected, it is not my business...

you're right, it is rather scary, but i think the fault is of the media. crime statystics haven't changed so radically in time to justify the feeling you and many other people have. so what did change? MEDIA COVERAGE OF VIOLENT CRIMES. a few decades ago, the main news were politics, international affairs and so on. violent crimes were secondary news, unless they were really big things. newspapers and news shows certainly wouldn't dedicate hours and hours talking about massacres, and making us know all details of the crime, from the shape of the blood stains to the position of the body... but audience is the dictator of the media world, and audience goes up when there's a lot of blood and violence, when there's something scandalous and secret and low. i guess it's a natural form of curiosity, and the media simply exploit it, submerging us with blood and terror. the result is that people get the opinion the world has become a dark and horrible place, while instead it's most journalists that are dark and horrible

this type cases are really incresase day to day ,i dont no the reason of it,murder cases are really rare in every place,in every time in this world crime are increasing ,what we have to do to stop these types or crimes,can anybody tell me ,how we can decrease the crime in this world ,can we do this or not
